I'm 5'7. I have a 22 road glide. One of the salesmen, at a harley dealership, told me I was too short for a big bike. He said that before I even got the chance to get on one. That comment made me decide to go to another dealership.

Great video with many great points. I'm 6' 3" and I had a '13 Breakout with 12" mini-apes and ended up putting a Mustang Extended Reach seat and Arlen Ness forward control extensions on it. the extensions moved the controls forward 3 inches. That combination made that bike perfect for me. My '20 Street Glide Special needed a Mustang Extended Reach Seat, Factory 47 12 inch bars and Tall Boys Cycles floor board relocators. I've got over 53K miles on that bike and will put another 50k if I have my way.

There are more fitment specific accessories available today, than ever before, to accommodate all sizes of riders. The disservice happens when you get someone who won’t seek knowledge or reach out to get direction to get the customer properly fitted for optimal comfort. Sales and Service is a relationship. “Care” enough about people getting comfortable and happy and you have the secret sauce.

I've ridden the Street glide and Road glide with no problems at all but chose the ST because its lighter and so much fun! Big screen electronics are not important to me when I ride (kinda old school there) personal preference. No matter if you're tall or small you can ride a Harley and dial it in to fit you!

AT 6'1" 210lbs, I was told I wasn't big enough to ride a Harley. I was sitting on a stock Road King Classic. He wasn't kidding. I had saved up over half of the factory MSRP and a pre-approve loan to cover the rest. I was ready to pull the trigger. I left that dealership. Found one in a neighboring state. Before I could start looking at the bikes. A gentleman walked up to me and started a causal conversation, which somehow led to me sharing my previous experience with a dealership. He then asked if he could show me something. It turns out he was the owner of the dealership. He opens this his book. Show me his cost + freight. He made me a deal. He didn't have any Road Kings Classics available. New models haven't arrived yet. He told me that if I agree to that price, put a deposit down and buy $1000.00 worth of accessories. He will put my name on the first one he receives and discount every accessory. I pulled out my list of accessories, and he worked with me so I could get everything on that list within my budget.
