Used to happen to me when I got a bit more confident with driving I would therefore go faster but then be rushing into things too fast and not have enough time to correctly and safely do all observations and gear changes and up rushing it all and make it so much harder , once you get the right speed these things become so much easier. Another great lesson. I have passed my test a couple of weeks ago but still enjoy watching your content.

I had a driving lesson today (first in almost 3 weeks) and my instructor was buzzing with how well I managed my big spiral roundabouts 😂 DGN and Clearview really helping me with my overall knowledge of the road and making my lessons much more efficient 🙌🏻 Well done to Raajan too, making some great progress. Class advice. Do not move to the left unless you are 100% sure it's safe on roundabouts, if in doubt keep to the right. 7:36

Today took 2 lessons , so old country guy came with old mini grey car , w no signs, accepted only cash and after 2 hours of shaking in car noticed that i wasnt wearing seat belt for 2 hours lmao , what an experience ! Can you make a clip how to know when someone is legal etc .

Greetings from Florida USA! Great video, thanks for sharing. Curious: Do your cars have markings like "Student Driver" on the outside so other motorists know to be a bit more patient?

Hi 👋 👋 The instructors cars usually have the driving schools name, info and logo. On top is a triangle/dome like a super sized TAXI sign with a big red L to identify as a learner driver. There are also red L plates font and back of the car. Private cars have a detachable L plate front and back of car. New licence holders an display a green P (PASSED) on front and back of car so others are aware 5he driver is a recently approved driver .

I never got taught how to follow road signs to places, it's just a thing you should be able to do honestly

6:55 Teaching him to manoeuvre like that coming off a junction is bad practice, poor planning and most of all can cause accidents. If you wanted him to turn right at that roundabout coming off that dual carriageway then you should of waited a fraction longer before signalling and turning left as your positioning would be much better merging into that right hand lane, avoiding the need to rush back over from the left lane. On a busy day there would of been other vehicles occupying that lane and he would've been forced to take another route most likely. I have seen a couple of accidents because of other drivers poor planning in approaching roundabouts coming off a major road.

If you're learning at a fast pace and are picking things up quickly then that makes sense. People don't do big roundabouts until they've tackled left turns, right turns, t-junctions, mini-roundabouts etc.

Now two things here that are interesting and doesn't seem to be that important. Why don't we do a blind spot check when we change lane? Seems weird not to. Also why is shuffle steering still being taught? Everyone gets taught that way but you actually have no idea where your wheels are doing so, feels like there is not enough of focus on actually steering the vehlcle and understanding the vehicle properly Anyways good luck on the rest of lessons and test!

You don’t need to do a blind spot check on a 2 lane road, u might only need to do it on wider roads incase someone is coming from the far right lane all the way to the left, second of all shuffle steering is the best way to steer, if you cross your hands and crash and the air bag goes off I don’t think you’ll like what happens after that

7mins off the slip road. Telling him to stick left. To go right on roundabout???. Highway code states Pick lane early. YOU should have advised him earlier so he could make that decision!! Poor instruction Pin.

gotta agree with this. at one point you mention only right lane for right. then you encourage him use left lane on slip road... the car overtaking IS getting ready to turn right. so should your pupil... get in lane early is the advice of HC.. others are doing it. so should your pupil. NB. you never mention SOME road markings do encourage left lane to go right.. GAS TO GO!!!

Yeah I would have gone right lane seems pointless as well as a bit dangerous to exit into the left lane and then instantly try and get over to the right it it had been a bit busier with more people the right lane might have been harder to access

@HLA_0302 people are going bomb past if you free up the lane. Highway code states get I to lane early. Left is for regular driving, right is to get ready for the next event. To save yourself from getting stuck. It's called planning and is a good factor for safe driving. Examiner would be impressed!! Shows you've been taught to think and not drive robotically. It's 100% different if you haven't been told where to go. But a sat Nav would be encouraging a" exit here and turn right at roundabout..".. which would mean use right lane.

If it was me at 6:55 I would of simply went into the right lane instead, avoiding the need to rush back. What Pin showed him at that point was bad practice as I guarantee you if it was him driving he would've taken up that right lane straight away
