It could be legitimate. Sometimes items come with factory defects, like missing tags, unlined letters, etc. Same happens with baseball cards. Those little things make those items desirable and valuable for customers.

I know I'm 3 years late but the biggest tip off to me that the Jordan jersey is a fake is the NBA logo on the back above the name. That logo is usually on the front. The needle drags are also a big give away as well. Hopefully the jersey found a good home!

I can confirm that is a counterfeit jersey. The crossing of stitching lines is a dead giveaway, but you did pickup one of the better fakes. I'll take it though!
