The lizard was so thankful to the man that opened up quickly and became part of Charles' family. Now, the little quirky guy won't leave the man's shoulder and want to accompany him everywhere.

This is first spring in 10 years I dont have mine waking up and wanting outside. She lived the dream for 10 years after I rescued her at 4 years old in bad shape. She lived outside every summer, with best foods and pools and plants and slabs of different rocks and love, love love like Mr Nubbs gets! Never knew they were so amazing, will never forget her.

There is something else happening here that is being overlooked. Yes, this wonderful man took Nubbs and is giving him a wonderful home. You can see the love and trust that man and wee beastie have for each other. But this man also has a daughter that is being taught to care for and be kind to other inhabitants that share our world. He/she had a particular niche amongst rocks that it defended from all others. I bought meal worms for it needless to say eventually it would snatch worms from my fingertips and run to me when it saw me coming. Now at 73, it is too late for me to have a dragon. I respect their needs and their long age. I am happy to watch videos like this one!

They're the best, these guys make the best pets for children-adults. They're easy keepers if you read up on the information on them before you get any kind of reptile or any other animal. You need to read about all animals and how to take care of them and if they'll even be a pet to have.

If there isn’t one, Put a screen on that air conditioner do he doesn’t fall thru the holes down onto the machine when he jumps.

There is a screen right below those flaps , Nubbs doesn’t jump to much anymore, this was last summer when we first got him. I was right there when he jumped and he had a soft landing after he slid down. I would never put my beardies in a dangerous situation. I’m kind of a helicopter dad

everyone's skeptical on beardies until you get one, hell even people that have met mine end up loving them by the end of the day. tbh this can go for any reptile, all of them have a personality that's perfect for someone. i haven't seen a single mindless reptile... except for geckos. joking of course, but if you've been on the fence about reptiles, look for people who care for them properly and you'll never forget it.

Can be, I’ve seen horns gnawed off by a cricket that was left in a cage. Nubbs had an infection where he was but before we got him and the vet had to amputate. It can happen to baby beardies because of their tiny size at birth
