I’m fairly new to cutting hair and I’ve never seen anyone else taper the back of the head using the process that you did. Usually I’d see that it’s recommended to start from the bottom and do guidelines up and the blend then but you seem to have done it from top to bottom and that seems way harder to me lol. For those who say that long hair looked better on him: I also have curly hair and I love it but I have had many days where I thought "I wish I could wash my hair, comb it and that's it!" But no, the special shampoo, the conditioner, the antifrizz, divide it into sections, comb it, twist it, dry it... aaaahhhh It's tiring. In 2020 a bad stylist burned my hair to the roots and I had to cut it all off, I don't like how I look with short hair but, WOW! It was a delight, literally, shampoo, styling cream or jojoba oil, accommodate it with my hands and ready to go! I totally understand this guy. But yes, the cut was not suitable for his hair type, although I don't know exactly what type of cut he asked the stylist for. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would recommend to the next long hair client to maybe donate the hair to Locks of Love they make wigs for cancer patients. The hair has to be clean and 12 inches long and in a braid.
