It’s easier said than done, most fighters come from poor working class backgrounds where they aren’t taught about money management, investing, paying taxes etc, they put those responsibilities into the hands of people they think are doing right by them, but in alot of cases especially boxing that’s not always the case.

Don King was fleecing his fighters 30 years ago but Dubois got every penny of his split out of him after an initial delay. If it was 1990's Dubois would've probably gotten shafted.
