Chris Snr wouldn't be a proper conversation, as we've seen in his last few interviews. Nigel Benn would be a good one. His life outside of the boxing ring was pretty insane and to live that life whilst being a professional boxer at the same time is something I'd be keen to hear in depth.

Usyk is very, very good at fighting long, also fighting long opponents because he moves with the shots so it seems to add length and with Fury being more planted these days and trying to cut the ring off I think Usyk with be able to outbox him. He’s not going to be planted on the outside and just eat jabs like almost everyone of his past opponents. Fury’s never fought someone like Usyk but Usyk has dealt with people like Fury. Also Furys body shots are below an amateur level, watch the back hand, lead hand at the waist body shots he hit Whyte with and tell me that, that’s a competent body puncher.

Simon veered pretty far from his over inflated mission statement on this one. He’s interviewing a fighter that infamously signed a murderous drugs cartel boss as his manager, who for whatever reason didn’t take a penny of his earrings, came close to taking over the sport and was only driven from it by FBI intervention, and he doesn’t ask him a single question about it? . . . Help him sell his book though yeah. 👏

Read his book - Chapter 8 - walks through the court transcript. The McGuigans concealed earnings, moved money around and didn’t notify him (all of the mcguigans were directors of the company as was he - they didn’t extend him the same rights and access). They also held his money back. Just very, very poor management of his money. Just before the settlement, thousands of mcguigan emails suddenly appeared - that were previously ‘irretrievable’. At that point, Carl had the option to press forward and really expose them, but they offered him a large settlement which he was very happy with. I don’t think the McGuigans were massively dishonest, but they were negligent. Hopefully they’re looking after the likes of Billam-Smith in the spirit of partnership.
