Am I supposed to sympathize with someone who forced himself onto his ex, abused and manipulated her, got her pregnant in 9th grade all because he wrote a sad poem about his her and because he was depressed? Then after his ex, told their best friend she decided to do nothing to report this to the police or tell her friend to at least tell her parents? The description sounds so vague and with the video combined, it sounds like we are supposed to sympathize with him, an abuser, this is horrid.

No. I do not feel bad for him at all. In fact, I'm angry at him. He selfishly made others suffer and then complained about his own pain only to leave without taking responsibility for his horrible actions. Your pain does not justify hurting/ruining others. This video, unlike others of this channel, leaves me with bittersweet feelings. You see, Ronin can not be blamed for his mental illness, but he can be blamed for his actions. He didn't treat his girlfriend well, he didn't listen to his friend who only wanted the best for them all, and lastly, instead of fixing his many mistakes, he cowarded out and let his suicidal thoughts take over. His poem was beautiful, but only talked about himself. He was self-centered, and never tried to learn to see beyond. He really needed help for his mental illnesses, but it wasn't fair of him to treat his girlfriend like an object, then leave everyone to handle and fix his wrongs. The ultimate victim was Alex. She now has to deal with all the consequences of loss and teenage pregnancy. It was also unfair of their parents to make her keep the baby when she was so young and she hadn't even chosen to have it. She had been literally forced, and dragged into a situation she wasn't to blame for, and now she has to deal with everything alone (glad that she at least has her friend and the parents of both her and Ronin). I don't know what people might think of me after reading this. Some might think I am an asshole for not mourning about Ronin, but again, mental illness should not be an excuse for the horrible things he did and the childish, selfish and immature way he dealt with them and the aftermath. It was his fault. "I am not ready to be a dad." Then you should have kept the condomn, and you should have never forced her. He needed help, but he was not the real victim.
