He Tried To Mess With A Russian Guard...
People often try to mess with the Royal Guards, but if there's one Guard you sholdn't mess with, it's a Russian Kremlin Guard! Which leads to the question: How do different countries' Royal Guards handle tourists? From the King’s Guards in their bearskin hats in Britain to the guard of the tomb of the unknown solider, and the stern-faced Kremlin Guards in Russia, these guards represent the most elite soldiers a country has to offer! But what happens when people push the boundaries and try to mess with the guards? Would a Russian guard react differently to a King's guard? Let’s find out!

I saw once how a tourist from some Asian country got in the way of the guard of honor. The officer pushed her aside as gently as possible, he even stopped. We are trying to make sure that the changing of the guard takes place without excesses. I remember back in the USSR, the police politely cleared the way for soldiers. When soldiers stand guard of honor, a special officer makes sure that no one approaches the soldiers. But every time he tries to do it as correctly as possible. Sometimes there are even such touching scenes. kzbin.infoSCA1eAHP-LQ

Unlike the queen's/king's guard or the tomb guard, which defend national ornaments and are essentially honorary positions and tourist attractions, the kremlin guard are the guards of the home of the president and overall seat of government of a nation currently involved in a large war on its border. No wonder you wouldn't want to fuck with them, in the same way you wouldn't want to fuck with the bodyguards of the president, the congress or nuclear silos. Still its an absurd custom to allow, and even encourage, people to mess with any members of the military, even ceremonial guards.

I served in the Welsh guards and trust me they are no elite. There is no selection process to join the foot guards only basic training. To gain elite status a unit select soldiers by a special selection process that other British army units including the guards don’t do. During my time in the Welsh Guards, many were unfit and despite failing courses were nevertheless promoted, although there were a few good soldiers but these will mostly transfers to elite units themselves in time. The ceremonial duties are indeed boring and in most hated. I ended up transferring to the parachute regiment in order to do some real soldering and served with them for 18 years. By transferring to the paras, I saw how poor the soldering standards of the guards really was. However, I believe they have improved professionally somewhat due to service in Iraq and Afghanistan, but I also believe there is a drug problem prevailing and if caught no longer discharged because they need the men. If you ever watch the changing of the guard you will see several who are obese and overweight. In reality it is the civilian police who actually carry’s out the real security for the royals. The guards are only there for the benefit of tourists and back up to the police if needed.

Didn't know that.I assume the Scots and Welsh would take things seriously. My late father during WW2 when in North Africa, severed as an honor guard to King George of Greece and Field Marshall Montgomery and a few others.Only found this out after he died.Found a little journal he had and this was in it, along with other things like were he did boot camp and some other stuff.Wish I had found it when he was alive, I could have asked him questions.

@@hildahilpert5018 My view is solely based on my 4 years in the Guards. During the 2 WW, the guards would have been very disciplined and experienced soldiers due to the war. The Guards participated in several of the battles including the Arnhem in September 1944, where the ground element of the reliving forces were spearheaded by the Grenadier Guards. In the movie Michel Caine portrayed guards general in charge of the ground push towards Arnhem.

It's been at least 60 years for the Honor, or Old Guards, in the US. My brother was one, standing at the temporary grave of President Kennedy. I believe it was 1963, right after his assassination. I recall him coming to my Christmas program that year, and him swinging me up in his strong arms, when we walked home, as I hugged his head, and he held my bare legs.

2:08 I know the guards have a job to do guarding the tomb of the unknown soldier...... But seriously did they not know and understand the words "REST IN PEACE" means that soldier bless his soul must have been in battle or fought in a war (It's possible) so do they think he doesn't want peace and quiet as he is laid to rest. Both the soldiers guarding the tomb and the visiting public/tourists should also respect the boundaries and not cross the lines or chains, respect 💯 always 💂🏾+👱🏾‍♀️🧔🏾🧑🏾‍🎓👪

The Norwegian ones had the coolest show. It would be good to see Chinese and French guards. The Swedish one seemed the most gentle with the kid, like the grand-pa type pump soldier thought the kid was cute. It was a nice moment. The Kremlin guards in real life were cool - I saw them in the 2000's and they didn't have the Napoleonic-style uniforms but rather were wearing modern uniforms and it was a nice theme at Lenin's tomb and the eternal fire for fallen soldiers.

One of the reasons you don't see people messing with the Kremlin Guard is because Respect for tradition is sacred in Russia especially if it has to do with the Great Patriotic War (WW2), for example, if you vandalize the metro in Moscow the police will need to save you from the people in the metro because they will beat the crap out of you.

Some of the top private security are trained by militaries or even special forces. If you are a celebrity or a multi billionaire you can even hire them to protect, you, your property, business or family. Some security guards are highly trained un unarmed combat and anti terror techniques. It's not just statesmen and royalty who have elite protection , you probably don't want to mess with those who protect wealthy citizens, also people underestimate the police. Some policemen are highly trained in anti terror and unarmed combat too, you never know, there are a lot of former military in the police anyway!
