I agree with Chrissy about sending money. There are certain circumstances where it makes sense. I sent my fiancee money for a couple of months before I was able to come visit in person. She was between jobs and was actually going to a Korean language school to be an OFW in Korea. I asked her to put that on hold (applying to go overseas) until we had met. So, it was only fair that I helped with support until I could make the trip. That was about a year ago...we are still together and I'll be making the permanent move in early September. Maybe in time to crash y'alls wedding. Lol.

If you're not financially prepared to fly to the Philippines within 3 months, you should not be on dating sites. You start sending money and your 6 months, or over a yr out from going to the Philippines. You are just uplifting her, and she will be noticed by guys who have boots on the ground.

Maybe I'm old facsioned but it seems like a better approach is to first jump on an airplane and just visit the country for a vacation. You, or someone did a poll online and 60% were for online dating and 40% were for in person. . but the thing is, this was done online by people who were, by definition, already online. It sounds like if one were visint a few times and them tcome and hang out longer and make connections, things might sort themselves out with a lot less scam risk. Yu could meet in person, you could maybe get referrals from contacts. . .

Great content as always guys. I've been in the Pines now for 2.5 months and sure made my share of mistakes with the first Pina I dated. I was blindsided by a scam after getting emotionally invested, but lesson learned. I've since found what I think is a truly beautiful woman in all ways, that helps me save money and navigate life here. I do however find communication is still a bit of a struggle as although most people can write great English they definitely do not speak as well. But I plan to stay here, so am learning Bisaya. I agree things would definitely be easier if you have a trusted friend or mentor in the country. I'm by nature a trusting person, but am finding that's a risky trait over here, so having someone to use as a soundboard is invaluable.

In my opinion, the BIGGEST single problem with guys looking for the perfect Filipina is that they don't know what they want (Other than young and beautiful). Even guys who have been married and around a long time don't understand what they want... then they find that beautiful, young Filipina and break her heart... BECAUSE they didn't do their due diligence. Due diligence is not JUST checking out the Filipina, but checking yourself as well. What you want is going to affect any relationship you have. When you start chatting with a Filipina, know what you want and show who you are, so she also knows what she's really getting. On that note, this is why I always STRONGLY recommend being in the Philippines for an extended period of time (not a 2 week vacation). Spending time with a Filipina and really getting to know her and her family are critical for a long term relationship to be successful. Please remember this above all else... there's more to Filipinas than youth, a pretty smile, and a great body. Chrissy is a perfect example of this... you don't think these two are still together and engaged after over a year together because of her beauty or the sex, do you?

Which is why we look at a couple with a gorgeous woman and an "average" looking man and wonder...it's because that man makes that woman feel gorgeous, desirable, SPECIAL. I am attractive. I like a lot of what you guys are saying. The only issue for me is that I find I start looking for problems when I hear all these things to look out for from content creators all the time. I feel it can create problems in the relationship when there isn’t any either. It’s a real fine balance with having the right one & supporting them vs a scammer who is after money. Some US states have requirements before marriage of counseling and later before you can get a divorce counseling again. I used to think this was a waist of time but have come to see its value. Of course Getting to know yourself first is one of the most important goals of life. My parents although well intended and did a good job raising my brother and me never got around to these questions remember "Cat's in the Cradle"

I made the same mistake as you, Rob. A few years after my divorce, friends of mine set me up on date with a Filipina they knew very well. She asked me why I got divorced. Instead of just answering: "My wife cheated on me" I gave her a full report on how I found out, how I started investingating her, how I collected proof of her adultory, how my attorney crushed hers in court and blablabla. The feedback she gave to my friends was: "This guy spent more than an hour talking about his ex". She took that as a sign that I wasn't over her, while in fact all I wanted to do was to be honest with her and let her know from scratch that I wasn't going to keep any secrets about my past marriage. Her reaction was a wake up call and I'm determined that in the future I will tell my date just the bare necessities, reply to her questions, but not volunteer any information that she didn't ask for.

I have to say Chrissy is very intelligent. I might have to disagree on the money issue. I do understand her point about it showing his interest as sincerity but what I don’t think she understands how many scammers there are out there. I would not have a problem sending any money if I knew she was in it for the long term but us men have to stick the the rules and not send money at all. I could be wrong. It is just so unfortunate that they have all these scammers and it is all over the place everyone is trying to scam you. SAD. I know it is a difficult decision to make. Yes Chrissy is great with it and I love that about her. Unless you really get to know her you will always be sceptical when it comes to money and you heart. I do also believe that a third party is always good in helping you find the special person because the good guys always think with there heart and sometimes that can leave you very vulnerable to people with bad intentions. Everyone has their own quagmire, maybe it is family or work that only allows limited vacation time, thus each situation needs to be evaluated for it's merits. Now, I've had pros in the mix too, they're a bit smarter, so they "take revenge", by talkin' 'bout theirs. How in love they were when they were young girls, 'n then suddenly things deteriorated 'n they became freelancers. Other people can absolutely see other people's relationship downfalls. You guys have 36 years age difference, did you discuss this in depth on first chatting & continually up to today. When Chrissy was there initially, did it not dawn on you to say 'Chrissy i'm too old for you, you're so beautiful you can have any guy out there' 'please go for that guy & a guy more your age' Chrissy, honestly, what are your reasons for dating/being with a guy 36 yrs older, who in real terms is in his golden years of life...yet you're in your young prime of life, with decades ahead of you. You guys are in your relatively early stages & have no idea were it's going to go or end up...we have to be real here. You match in many ways & yet don't in others. I wish you all the best, but that huge age difference is a moral deal breaker for many, including wrong in the minds of many older guys grown up kids. Talking about exes in that regards, especially in front of your current gf is a no no....even for such a video. Not all men do things wrong.

You'll know all about another expat youtuber who finally came out & said how wrong he got it being with his 35yrs junior GF, how regretful he was & how he's taken away her prime years. Ask yourself truthfully, how would you honestly feel if a 31 yr old beautiful daughter of yours started dating a 67yr old guy? I'm 100% sure you wouldn't be happy & that she chose someone of a similar age, who is bright, working, handsome & respectable. They're out their for all beautiful Filipinas.
