I Played with Dre on the Choz from 12-16 years old and he was the real deal, his issues was exactly what you said, he wasn’t the most consistent shooter and he was undersized. But the boy was cold, he could break down any defense by himself, set you up perfectly in stride or wide open on the wing, and he finished under the rim as well as any pro I’ve seen. You did a great job with this!

This dude went to my high school Rice High School(R.I.P.). He was a few years ahead of me but his name still rang thru the hallway as one of the greatest to ever step thru that building. I was proud to wear one of the jerseys and be part of that legacy that birthed so many great ballers.

@@marcreal2228 Please forgive me on Kemba.I have a Kemba story.I was at a Rice game.I saw this guy warming up, I mean working HARD, like his life depended on every movement.Kemba was a junior at the time and Edgar Sosa ( that's a name for you J.C) was the main guy at Rice at the time.So I went to coach Mo Hicks and said: " Who's number 15?" He nonchalantly said " Oh, that's Kemba".Even though he might've been 5'10" at the time, I said to myself I'm gonna follow this kid, he works too hard not to be successful. And I just feel proud for everything he's accomplished and is continuing to accomplish.Continued success to Kemba aka EZ PASS.

When you see them in H.S you would've bet the ranch that some of these guys were gonna be in the league.Just makes a guy of West Indian descent who grew up in the Bronx proud to see and undersized hard worker like Kemba make it over THOUSANDS who were thought to be better at the same age.Hard work IS a talent.Ive seen talent take guys far, but not further that a hard worker with minimal talent. When you work hard, you'll be successful in anything you chose.

The only reason AB didn't go further is because of his height. But although he was 5'10" he could dunk.He was a true PG, not better than Omar, but he had a better attitude.Shout out to Leon Barrett ( R.I.P) Andre's dad, who also refereed summer league games.Met and spoke to AB many times.Nice humble guy. Also his sister was a baller too.I just wanna make this statement. There will be another Michael Jordan, before there ever will be another Mugsy Bogues. Can you imagine AB is 6-7 inches taller than Bogues, but Mugsy carved out a 10+ yr career in the NBA at 5'3".Never gonna see that again.

Let's be honest, size doesnt matter if u can play and you have the right attitude. But at minimum ya shot gotta be consistent if ur considered undersized. Earl Boykins, Nate Robinson, Mugsy Bogues, Spud Webb, A.I., and a bunch of others were small but all can make a jumpshot consistently.
