Flats loses his mind when the sandwiches that you’d think are going to be god awful, but having built some of them (I only try to make them if they’re rated 7.0 or higher), I can say that some of the sandwiches aren’t too bad. I wouldn’t go out of my way to make them regularly, but I think they’re worth a one-time experience at least.

A lot of them make sense if you think about them. Like the cookie one: Grilling it caramelised the filling and the sugar in the cookie, and Caramelised Corned Beef Brisket is a common thing. Cheese is often eaten with sweet BBQ AND with Fruit, but grilling seemed to have dried out the watermelon so it likely barely had any flavour left, and hot sauce is not uncommon on sweet BBQ either. So while the ingredients are definitely unusual at face value, it's functionally just a poorly balanced Sweet & Spicy Corned Beef Brisket Sandwich lol

With the first sandwich, it really shows that the rating is specifically based on how GOOD it is (which I think is a point that Flats misses, he thinks that if it's weird it should be really low) so a sandwich could be really, really weird (I've had a few like that before) but just also, very nice, hence the high rating
