There is something comforting about watching flats react to roll for sandwich. I don't even watch any Overwatch content anymore but I still tune in to all the roll for sandwich vids.

I worked for Safeway and remember the day when we stoped carrying almost anything from “Primo Taglio” and everything was full by Boards head because they paid Albertsons supermarkets to carry more from them.

Don't flip your food in the pan like he did with the quesadilla, that's how you get a grease fire.

I don’t usually watch the sandwich content, but seeing this makes me enjoy Flats even more, love seeing other kinds of content ❤

TBF, I believe the "paying to carry less competitors' stuff" actually translates to "paying to have more shelf space for your stuff". If you have more shelf space, you sell more of your product, so naturally other vendors get less space for their product, and some SKUs get eliminated for that.
@Blitzvonic7 ай бұрын
Yeah as someone who works at a gas station it's exactly that. Shelving in stores is advertisement in of itself, so some companies pay TOP TOP dollar to get the best space in the store. It's why in a lot of gas stations in the fridges entire sections would be dedicated purely to, say, Monster, Red Bull, Gatorade, etc. It's cause they paid top dollar to have that ENTIRE section to themselves. In comparison brands not shelling out that extra cash get put in the far corners of the store, the bottom row, etc.

14:16 to make it greasy I would have tossed butter in a pan and then fried the bun in it to soak all the butter up

what i love about this series the most, is how Flats discoveres great food through it 😊 todays major discovery: Hallumi! and it will be 100% worth it because Hallumi is a BBQ season staple and just the bomb ❤

As someone who works retail that's absolutely true as companies buy the amount of shelf space they want for which product they make. That's why nobody can ever find stuff from one week to the next 😂

First sandwich reminds me of a swedish dish with both bacon and banana + chicken and peanuts. It's called Flygande Jacob (Flying Jacob). It's pretty good

About the grocery store thing. It's not that they are paying the store to get rid of other brands, its that brands pay to have space in the store and they can buy more space leaving less for others.

People sleep on bananas in savoury foods… like try a habanero banana hot sauce or marinade, the the flavour profiles pair surprisingly well and complement each other, as well as the banana adding a smoother sort of approach to the heat.

I try not to go to grocery stores anymore, and go to local farmers markets/etc. so I don't have to deal with BS from major companies paying stores to only carry their brands. I get cheese from this woman who has a 'dairy guy' who gets her around two dozen pounds of local cheese every week
