Fun fact... My friends kept telling me I needed to see this HS player and after refusing to for a while I finally broke. We went to see Creekside vs Stars Mill. A game so big comcast was there to televise it. Young Eric was the QB and Safety for Creekside and HANDS DOWN the best player I've seen with my eyes. I watched em save a broken down play, reverse field a couple of times and then keep it and break about a 80 yard run. The next drive as a safety I saw him fly down from the safety spot and crack a receiver and force a fumble. Dude was IT!!

Charger fan here. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this man. Even before his cancer diagnosis, he was and is a class act which demands respect from all. His accomplishments on and off the field are not to be disregarded. Dude is an absolute legend, I just wish we could have seen everything he had to offer. (Except the amount of pain he would have caused my Chargers)

I had stage 4 hodgekins lymphoma when I was 12 years old back in 2002, so when berry got diagnosed with it I instantly started to tear up. He became my favorite player instantly and I’m so sad he didn’t get to end his career on his terms

Man thanks FlemLo!! This one hits home. I even got a lil emotional at the end. I have followed Eric Berry since he came out of High school in 2007. Dude was legendary at Tennessee. He is second all time in collegiate INT return yards. He even played linebacker and cornerback his Junior year at Tennessee. He had the knack for making the big plays like Tyrann Mathieu and Charles Woodson. He was always around the ball. I wish my Saints would give him a chance, but we have the great Malcolm Jenkins. He had every ability to be a future hall of famer just injuries. But terrific attitude and great guy who comes from a great family. God bless EB and God bless you also brother!
