I remember watching him in the SEC. He had that freakish athletic ability at the QB position and of course this was during the time in which athletic QBs at the collegiate level were gonna be highly scrutinized by the pro coaches and analysts (and they still are). I just knew he was gonna be a huge impact player at the next level. He had great natural ability but in my opinion never seemed to have the hunger to push himself and of course those bad habits die hard. Nonetheless, he was a very difficult matchup at wideout in the NFL in that most of the corners were/are short and fast. Could really high point the rock on those 50/50 balls. Definitely a promising career cut short. I do hope he's doing well now. As always nice video brother.

I still cannot reconcile how this bro was this tall, this thick, and this White, and running 4.3 in the 40. Truly one of the freakiest athletes in history.

Just a theory, the dude already had a substance abuse issue before the NFL. Once he got NFL money his substance abuse got worse, but he got better at hiding it.

@FlemoRaps There is a few things you mentioned in the video. Steve Jones was my junior high football and track coach, in Van Buren, AR. This dude, Matt Jones, was so gifted it was unreal. He could play football, track, and basketball like no other. In track, the guy was running 22.~~ in the 200, and man dunking/posterizing normal sized guys. He was an idol in that town. He had a decent career in the NFL, maybe not legendary but at least he got out of it without something really F’d up, physically speaking. But it is sad though, how gifted he was and how things ended up. Thanks for the video
