I agree that Baalke is catching hell and it well deserved. But I believe the reason that he has survived is that he defers to the coach on personnel decisions. He said it in the past, he brings in players that fit the coach's vision and scheme as part of the alignment process. Pederson hiring a DC that coached a mediocre defense in ATL and his loyalty to Press is what doomed him. I agree that Trent should be gone.

⁠@@tee5127 You’re a casual, but that’s okay. We are all Jags fans. Joe Brady shouldn’t even be considered and Ben Johnson would be the same result. We don’t need another soft overproduced team. We just had that. We need toughness in the locker room and a defensively oriented coach.

@ Lol I’m most definitely not a casual fan. I just agree with a lot of the other Jags fans, that we need a young offensive minded head coach. While he lacks the amount of experience that some of the other head coaches have - he is the offensive coordinator for the Bills and is doing a great job. I would rather give him a chance than any of the other head coaches on that list excluding Ben Johnson.

@@LordofthePoonBen Johnson and Jo Brady should be the top options. Johnson is a offensive genius and what he did for Jarred Goff he could do for Trevor. Plus he most likely would bring Mark Brunell with him who’s the QB coach with the Lions and make him OC. Brady is a QB guru and also knows how to develop and set everyone up on offense. Brady worked with Drew Brees, Joe Burrow, Sam Darnold, and Josh Allen. Vrabel is good as gone to NE or the raiders with his connections to Tom Brady and the Patriots. Glenn would be nice here but the team is focusing on Trevor and want to get the best out of him, most likely gunna hire a offensive guy. Plus I think Glenn will end up in New Orleans. Also 7 out of the 8 coaches they set up interviews with have never been HC’s, I think they’re tired of hiring recycled HC’s.
