While I agree with your Amy theory and do see sound logic in it I'd like to point out a few reasons I think silver can make sense to be next for one for some reason the people behind these movies seem to focus on the male characters rather than the female ones now don't get me wrong Amy could be the first female one they actually decide to add to this universe but I'm just saying so far they haven't broken that pattern, for two Silver is a fairly powerful character which would make him a good antagonist in the next film if both eggman and Shadow are out of the picture or if either of them are still there they could team up with him his psychic powers would be a new obstacle that Sonic and his friends are not familiar with, and for three he has the easiest setup for a future movie that could involve time travel shenanigans they could straight up have him travel to Sonic's time and say his first line from his game "I finally found him the Iblis Trigger"but for the context of the movie universe he could be referring to knuckles instead given that knuckles literally fought Iblis to attain the flames of disaster but Sonic and friends caring for each other defend each other thus that being the basis of the plot of the movie

Yeah i think it's a shame it's been so male-dominant so far, that's why i think they try and give the human women as much screen time as possible which i like - it's just the nature of things with Team Sonic but i'm kinda surprised they decided to do Shadow before Amy. I get why they did it because he's so popular, but would have been nice to see some more balance

also hate to be that guy but Amy is from Little planet. She didn’t follow sonic in fact despite her debut game being in CD she technically first met sonic after sonic and knuckles🤓👆

you guys silver and Amy just don’t make sense in the movie Amy is post credits at best but trust me Sega knows how to market and it’s bad marketing to have an unimportant but loved character not only not being all of the trailers you released but none of the marketing ads or even merchandise and then they’re in the movie anything that’s false advertising
