The ANS are divided into the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous Systems which don't require thought to function. Thought is purely a cerebral activity of the Central Nervous System. The heart neurites you talk about are not even as complex as the abdominal plexi which is sometimes called the little brain, but even it gives you impressions. Not thought. He is 💯 correct. Only the brain thinks.
