I thought the progress on photogrametry would have been much better through the years. I programmed that back in 2004. And it was a tedious process. Esp. camera calibration gt much better these days. Software nowadays got better. But compared to the rapid evolution of other technologies it doesn't look like the accelerators do really care about photogrametry. What I am still waiting for is that some AI is capable of extracting 3D models from movies...
@Cloakfiend2 жыл бұрын
Its better with high quality dslr photos, but im just using a phone cam for worst case senario. I wish auto masking existed. But defo my current fav easy go to photogrammetry app, thanks for writing it!!. I wish the point cloud dots were larger like they were in an older version. An introduction of some AI to clean up the meshes would be nice! Agisoft does get slightly sharper results but has no inbuilt masking. Takes longer.

Not mounted lighting. Id just go somewhere universaly lit. Never let the lights near the subject as you will get edge lighting from some angles. Also make sure people wipe their faces from sweat before a scan. Shiny skin is bad. But back on lights, i just look for good spots.
