I have had MANY questions about my head scarves. Why am I wearing them, how do I tie them? I answered all of the common questions in this video.
Mentioned in this video:
WRAPUNZEL: Wrapunzel.com - For pretied scarves and the no-slip headbands, as well as other scarves and accessories.
THE SCARF BAR: scarfbarshop.com - For many pretied scarves (and other scarves as well. Since filming, I figured out that the pretied scarves with the gathered backs are the CLASSIC pretied scarves. The ones with the open back and longer back tail is called the VERSATILE pretied scarves.

Other clips I will use to hold my hair (not in a bun) - amzn.to/3z2X14i

I started wearing them 4 years ago. It is amazing and you can hide a lot of bad days under a tichel! I feel that covering is a conversation you need to have with your creator. It was definitely a convection that was placed on my heart. I feel so much more confident in mine

When I was younger, I loved wearing bandanas. As I got older, I had issues with keeping them on without hairpins. I bought a bunch of headscarves over a year ago but got frustrated trying to keep them on. I do need to look into these type of scarfs.

I am so glad you have done these vlogs on the scarfs! I have NEVER been able to wear scarfs because they literally crawl off my head. I used to be able to wear a bandana but as I got older, those too would crawl off my head.🤦🏼‍♀️. I am a medical laboratory scientist and have long hair so it has to be contained. Therefore, cut it short (not happening) or contain it somehow. I can’t wear elastic bands because that’s guaranteed instant migraine. I finally found some clips that will hold my hair and not let it crawl but those too have started triggering migraines. I went to Wrapumzel and ordered the headband and 6 scarfs. I can’t wait for them to get here. Plus! I might actually be able to wear some of the scarfs that daddy bought when he was in various countries (army). Thank you again for sharing this!

So nice to others covering their head. Here in Norway I feel so alone as a christian covering my head, I have never ever seen anyone else do it, so people are a bit confused, because they can no way see why I cover my hair. I prefer actually the square tichel and a velvet headband. The thing with the square tichel is that I can easily change the style. I like wearing it with tail in back and the two ends in front, hanging loose. But they are in the way when I do gardening or bake, so then I just wrap the tail around my bun(not underneath as you do)and then the other two tail around that again. I wear a very loose bun, just as you I get pain from a tight bun, so I just wrap it loosely in a velvet scrunchie. So when I need to be sure the bun doesn’t fall out, I do as said above. And that secures the whole thing in wind and my bun is still not pulling my hair(my bun is much more loose than yours). I used to use bobby pins and clips to secure the scarfs before, and that pulled out hair and my thin, nordic hair actually broke from the clips. So the velvet headband was a game changer. It takes just 20 minutes to sew.

I know how you feel. I live in England and almost no Christians wear head scarves or even hats here now. I feel drawn to it. Back in my teens and twenties I wore a scarf/ bandana to church but it was in fashion then. I go to a church which preaches the word - an evangelical independent but still ladies have forgotten how to wear scarves ( one old lady wears a tam, but she is 90 years young). I compromise because I am not brave. I wear my hair up and cover it with a stylee on combs or I wear scrunchies with long tails. I have one tied as a bow with very long tails I use too. But its a fudge I know. I would love to wear a scarf but I dont want to stand out here.

Lovely vlog. You explained all very well. When I worked in a deli, we were required to wear headscarves due to health laws. When i retired i gave away all my y headscarves and now I am going back to them out of choice. They truly are so feminine. I have very fine (read that: thin) hair so it's always fly-away. I found when i was going through menopause, my hair went back oily too. Yah bless y'all 🙏💙🙏

Thank you for your obedience to the Father! I came to the Torah in December of 2022 and was convicted of covering my head. I went back and forth for awhile and a few months after having my first baby a lost a lot of hair. When it started growing back it was crazy looking so I went to oversized headbands. And here recently my husband had asked me to start wearing head coverings full time.

I love the referral you gave. I got one to wear when I mow here on the property. It keeps my head cool, keeps my hair fully covered and neck. I tie the tails to the front of my neck and stuff in my shirt to help keep grass from going into my shirt. It is one of the best purchases for this area of my life after 9 years of struggling with hats, visors, caps, other types scarves and nothing worked very well for me and I had bugs, bees, ticks always getting in my hair. My 5 hour mowing the land and along the cedar lines and limbs this has been a life saver. So thank you So I have the exact color you posted on the Amazon link…guess what mine has a no slip thing just like your other ones do, so perhaps they updated it due to the competitive nature of the head covering line. , and yes I never get a head ache either, mine stayed on and I have fine hair and a slipping issue with all other types of hair coverings. Tip: if one has a glue gum they can add a thin line of silicone or even small dots and press them down before they dry so it’s not raised but flattened silicone lines or dots along the forehead hair line to adapt it to no slip

Ive had a lot of the same issues/problems youve had. Including fixing my hair, and i dont look very good when i wear a head scarf honestly, but that may be my own vanity issue. I do wish the non slip headbands worked for me, i have two but cant use them. They make my scarves fall off worse than if i dont wear them at all. I want to check out the scarf barn, it sounds good. I also battled with the should I or shouldnt i, for years, literally...after plenty of research, listening to other womens stories, reading the word, listening to pastors, etc. I was convinced that it IS right to wear a head covering. Especially for me... But still waited even more time before having the courage to start, ive begun with hats this year but am now ready to move on to scarves...you look just beautiful with the scarves on and very poised, and i appreciate everything youve shared its very helpful...God bless...❤😊

Great interesting video! I have been wearing a head covering since the 1980s...due to scriptures...women need to have head covered...when praying...makes it easy to pray without ceasing without having to get a head covering to pray in the middle of working, etc. Enjoyed seeing your beautiful scarves and listening to what you went through with your hair. Take care.

This is how it was for me, the Lord was calling me to change how I dressed and to wear a headcovering. I fought it, argued with the Lord about the other women in thr church not being told to change. Then the words 'not everyone is called to preach or be a missionary' came to my mind. It was clear it was a calling but I didn't like it and said Lord it isn't fair, I don't need to dress differently to serve you. Then the Lord brought memories of my past and how I used to dress when I was serving another god. Then the words came to my mind 'When you walked down the street people knew who you served and I expect no less from you than you did for him'. That was the end of my resistance, even though it took an explanation to get me to concede and obey.

Have to disagree with your comment about Western thinking on obedience. I' guess I'm a western believer, but I agree with you 100% about obedience. When I was in HS back in the '70's, head scarves were popular. I wore them often whether my hair was long or short. I'm kind of a scarf hog because I wear them on my head, or around my neck, or over my shoulder with a brooch. They make for a wonderful splash of color. I'd like to buy one like yours to see where they stitched the elastic. I'm pretty descent on the sewing machine, and could create my own with the scarves I have. :)

Great video! I cover my hair when I pray. I did try to cover my hair all waking hours, but I try to avoid covering in the workplace due to a vast mountain of persecution I experienced in my pervious job. I worked for Walmart 13 years and they literally told me I wasn’t allowed to cover my hair. When I pointed out that they were allowing the blacks to wear head scarves and the Muslims to wear hijabs, they literally told me that blacks did it for cultural reasons and Muslims didn’t have a choice because it was a part of their religion, and Christian women have a choice. This came from a regional HR person! I told them that what they were doing was called religious persecution. They backed off, but then I had a target on my back and was literally being treated horribly despite being a great worker. My husband finally stepped in and asked me to just not cover for work because he said they were going to fire me over it (he also worked for Walmart). I eventually quit Walmart and went to John Deere. Part of the time I wear a headset to do my job; for phone calls and meetings. So I mostly don’t cover for work. I do have a few snoods from Garlands of Grace that work well under my headset though, so I have been beginning to cover for work on occasion. I am going to slowly ease into covering full time at work and see how it goes.

I have been wearing head scarves going on 5 years now. I am a full testament believer OT to NT. In Romans 11:16 tells us we are grafted into Israel. I try to do bible things in bible ways. I’m 1st and foremost saved I believe in Yeshua aka Jesus because Yeshua paid my death penalty. I have grace when I sin. But I try to keep the commandments to the best of my broken abilities. By that being said I try to do the commandments no one can keep them all only Yeshua could. But I try because it pleases God! & I want to please Him!

I mix about 1 tablespoon of baking soda into my shampoo to strip the gunk out of my hair. I have long hair and keep it in a ponytail or messy bun. I have Hypothyroidism and lose hair constantly. I'm always afraid of a hair getting into my food when I'm cooking. I get migraines also and the hair up hurts sometimes. I have been thinking for a while to use some sort of head wrap.

I too have always liked the look of scarfs, but sinceI didn’t know one woman that wore a scarf I just didn’t. Like you I had bought a couple but, also like you didn’t know how to wear it or tie them. I too get headaches from anything too tight and my skin is really sensitive as well. You have given me the inspiration to try it again. I’m not trying to wear it for any reason other than, I have very thin hair and I have lost so much hair over the years (despite trying different hair growth products and dermatologists) that I usually wear a hat/baseball cap when going out. I would rather wear a scarf than a hat. I am a Christian and I too believe we should always obey the Father. I do not believe it’s from scripture but if you feel He is telling you something personally, then I commend you for doing it. I hope you have a great day.

I started covering my head because of personal conviction (on how I was treating and reacting to my husband and also headship of Yeshua) and about a year after actually obeying that conviction and starting to cover, my husband was saved by the Lord. There are many layers of details left out here, but I believe that it was my obedience that led to an answer in prayer. I am praying Yah pours out blessings on you Constance for heeding this conviction. ❤

I use 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 as my excuse to wear my headscarfs and my scalp psoriasis. Sounds like you were being told by God to do it.

Wow....what a story! I also love headscarfs although I've never worn them. I had to chuckles because i just went through a hair nightmare. Mine was not a cut but all of a sudden my wavy curly hair just had a mind of it's . I had sections of my hair doing each its own thing! I was so frustrated everyday. Well after many weeks and many trials I have figured it out. Let me just say I was ready to do headscarfs if I didn't figure it out. I am also a believer so I've heard all the opinions through the years and I agree with you. Let me also say you look really nice in your scarfs! And yes obeying the Lord is always the right thing....even if we don't understand!!! Blessings!

I was given that same terrible haircut! She said it was 'asymetrical', which I had to agree with. It super short in the back and long on the sides, not even. Ugh! I wear a wig much of the time when I want to head cover (especially at work), and do scarfs most of the time at home. It isn't commanded, so I've gone back and forth. While Paul talks about it in Corinthians 1, he ends with "there is no such command in the church". So, I consider it a preference, rather than obedience. I have definitely been called to it and am just following my conscience.

@@Samayaslight while I have not felt called to head cover, back in 2007 I felt a distinct call to stop wearing trousers/pants and to only wear dresses or skirts. My job required us to wear a uniform, which was pants and a pole shirt, and I certainly couldn't afford to quit my job. But I made some dresses and wore them at hike, and around town whenever I was not at work. I quickly began to feel more like myself in dresses than I did on pants. Then in time I got a promotion at my job and was no longer required to wear the uniform. My manager said I could wear whatever I wanted.....probably he thought I'd weather pants and a pole shirt like everyone else at my job level. Instead I took him at his word and began to wear dresses to work. I take this as the Most High making it easier for me to obey, and am thankful for the blessing. I still have no idea why HE would want me to wear dresses, but I've been blessed in following this leading and have learned to trust His reasons.

@shmataboro8634 I never used to wear dresses or skirts. I was a jeans and leggings girl! When I came to the LORD, though, I began feeling more and more uncomfortable in pants. I bought a few long denim skirts for work around our homestead and actually found them to be more comfortable than pants. When I got an office job, I started wearing skirts exclusively. I don't know why Yah changed my dress habits either, but it was a very marked change. Perhaps as set apart people we're meant to clearly illustrate His intended roles for us women in these very confused days. I don't know, but know that you're not alone on the dress change! 😅❤

Fun fact, regarding covering the head reference: The pagan temples had prostitutes (literally) and how they were easily spotted because they were shaved bald. Well, once they became Christians and started attending church, they stuck out like a sore thumb. It did NOT go over well. The men were tempted and even distracted from the message. The wives were FURIOUS and so angry that they wanted them to be banned until their hair grew back (No one can blame them for that.) But it became a huge source of contention that the wives were threatening to stop attending at all. So, the answer was to cover the head. *Also, I had a friend who had the "All the sudden" oily hair and even a change in the stool. The doctor knew immediately what it was, as it's a common occurrence with gallbladder issues. Copied and pasting this below I hope you see it, because it can possibly keep you from the sudden onset of stones, by giving you a chance to deal with them the ultra sonic disintegrate way, before it becomes totally blocked. (However it can also happen after removal of the gallbladder. I will post it right under this comment. Bless God, healing is the children's bread! ❤ Ps. Although it's not possible for Father to inflict a condition on His daughter, it is beautiful to see a heart that searches for Him to show Himself strong thru ❤ See my comment below for gallbladder info. 👍🏻

The moment you said it, I had a flashback of the exact conversation, but was trying to recall what caused it. I said "oh Father please bring this to my remembrance, and kept watching the video. All the sudden I heard gallbladder (not audibly or anything) but it reminded me of the Word The"Holy Spirit, Who teaches us, brings His Word to our remembrance." People often think that is only regarding bible scripture. But, that's not so. He teaches us physics, science, relationships, everything. So Faithful I recall after the gallbladder was removed, she said her stool floated. Here ya go- Chronic gallstones are hard particles (usually made up of cholesterol or bilirubin) that develop in the gallbladder. These particles can block the bile duct, also known as cholestasis, which can disrupt the digestion of food (especially fats) and cause oily stools.

If I may offer insight, in the original the word for head has 2 different meanings, cover the head and covering are 2 different words, as well. Hair is a different word as well. To imply that the woman is to cover during praying and prophesying says that it's not hair alone as that is not taken off or temporal. This is also seen with a man covering his head. It's geared towards specific action and creation order. It's a good study, but different than the traditional view. Coverings were common until the 'Easter Bonnet Revolt' stemmed by feminism. Pray about it and see where He leads. 🩷 Blessings to you.

Hey ladies, if you want a decent haircut without paying usual market prices, go to either Supercuts or Great Clips. Know ahead of time what you want them to do and tell them specifically. Let them wash and blow dry it too. If you want serum or mask or any other kind of product used to help your hair be its healthiest, ask them for that too.

I was wondering what opinion your family have of your decision to wear the head scarfs? Do they also follow biblical teachings, on dress, food, ritual, etc. if this is too personal a question I apologize for being rude. My curiosity is personal because my family would never go along with this life choice and I would have to go it alone. Your scarf demo was very informative because I try to keep my long hair covered when I am cooking, canning, bread making, etc,
