Yeah - especially here in Orlando! But I don't think the ceramics would make much of a difference in city driving....main reason for the ceramics is more consistent braking over harsher braking, and brake fade - which wouldn't be required in regular traffic....

Thinking of getting one. A little concerned about ground clearance without a front axel lift. Other than occasionally taking approaches at an angle, did you find this to be much of an issue?

@yityit13 which one were you thinking of getting? Nevertheless I found that neither caused me any issues with ground clearance. Mind you, I also drive a lowered LC500 with about 1.5in of clearance in the front, so I'm used to dealing with low vehicles....

@@RichWithCars This is really reassuring. I’m looking at the Vantage. Trying to decide between that and the new AMG GT 63 S E Performance coupe. I don’t usually drive lowered cars, so it will take a little getting used to.

@TrevorHouston-t6i I'm extremely curious to experience the new GT 63. I can say that the MBUX infotainment will be better than the new AM infotainment since I've already tested it out on the S580. The only downside is the lack of physical buttons on the MBUX. If you're looking at the GT 63 S E Performance, it might be faster off the line due to the AWD system and the added power from the e-motor, but it'll definitely be heavier. Personally, I'd probably go for the Vantage due to its nicer exterior design and overall experience (seems like the AMG is a little tamer). But beware, all Astons depreciate quite heavily if purchased new.

@@RichWithCars Yes, the depreciation is an issue. I feel like the GT63 will too though, unless you go for the top of the line Pro. I really don’t plan on selling it, and I’ve wanted an Aston since I was a kid so I’m leaning towards it. I’ve heard a lot of good from the new AM infotainment compared to prior years, but interesting to see you like the MBUX better.

I like the Vantage the best I guess but I detest those fake pops and crackles. And really dislike all the mandatory beeps and big brother things.

I'm usually not a fan of the pops and crackles, but for some reason, they work on the new Vantage. Yeah, the big brother beeps and warnings are unbearable! 🤯

Yes - what I meant by that was it's not dual clutch fast (referring to OTHER dual clutch transmissions) and def not PDK fast (Porsche's version of dual clutch, which is the fastest/best dual clutch out there)

This video perfectly demonstrates how lazy AM are with design. To me these cars look waaaay too similar, and the Vantage is clearly the better proposition for the car enthusiast, and better value. The DB12 should look like a clear step above, in luxury, presence, and performance - to me at least, it doesn't... The older cars are clearly better designed - DB9, DBS, Superleggera, AMV8 etc. The only advantage of new cars is the interior tech.

I don't disagree in regards to the similarities, especially for the interior. Keep in mind that Aston Martin doesn't fall under any of the major automotive companies. Therefore, they don't have unlimited funds. I still find they did quite well considering their financial standing....
