A midi foot controller only switches midi effects/presets. You would need a pedal switcher like a voodoo lab PX-8 pedal switcher or EHX super switcher to switch/toggle physical pedals. MIDI pedals use midi or usb cables to operate not 1/4 inch TRS cables. MIDI controllers use digital messages to send/receive messages to switch digital software. You don’t need that, just a regular pedal switcher. 🤙🏻

Ok so if you’re wanting to run a midi controller youll need a loop switcher that’s midi controllable. You put each pedal in a loop that is turned on and the controller will activate (or insert the loop into your signal chain). It’s complicated to set up but nice when its all wired and programmed. It’s actually more wires overall but very customizable with programming. Power conditioning is good to have. Can’t wait to see ya rack.
