I know the video is sped up, but handling the double-sided tape like that blew me away. It usually takes me 27 F-bombs and razor blade to get a single piece done! Great video.

I did this on my previous M2, then this tutorial didn't exist unfortunately. This was a really good video showing how to handle a few of the challenges with getting the overlay aligned and such. Also, the double sided tape is a really good thing which my kit didn't come with.

Да нормально я на Солярисе так делал без скотча норм держится, на ф30 тоже лежит такая оплетка с алика думаю без скотча попробовать только у меня руль другой бичевый который🤔

@@manzh920причем тут скотч, некоторые производители на заводе шьют рули и тоже скотч клеят. Я про оплетку , все закрепки на строчке возле спиц неакуратно сделаны, очень в глаза бросаются это как минимум. Хорошая машина, зачем этот колхоз.

Doesn't effect self driving but does mean the heated wheel takes longer to warm up and will be slightly cooler than before

BMW's do have "virginity" seals, in the back of the steering wheel - its where you need to unscrew airbag, to detach steering wheel - once you break them, there is no way to seal it again. This can lead to lower the car value as customers may know about it, check if they are there and be suspicious that car had accident because of getting into airbag etc. So on car is actually better...

Do what I did, cut it to fit, and then make sure you glue down the existing thread so it doesn't come undone. Then just tuck it into your wheel.

Personally I would removed the airbag and then undid the 3 screws that hold the plastic m sport centre trim that would of saved time tucking in the leather under the trim also from there you can remove the switches
