We are finally on our way home! 1200nm from Tonga to NZ has begun. We have two great crew member join us, as we head south into brilliant weather enabling us to stop for a few days at Minerva Reef. This place has everything we could want and more. An untouched paradise 250nm south of Tonga. Turquoise waters, beautiful coral, plentiful sea-life, an abundance of crays and some great people with the same idea!
Definitely a must-stop for anyone heading up or down from NZ in this direction. One of our favourite experiences to date.

Damn nice lobsters you got, we get the same here in Florida, they are just delicious !!!! My favorite way to catch them is by bully netting them. What a nice way to end your journey with a beach BBQ. Not gonna lie, I'm going to miss this epic adventure you've been on....Thanks again for sharing this with us Sarah and Adam, i've totally enjoyed the ride...Can't wait for your next video ♡ Happy New Year !!

Love the video guys, but why would you kill that big beautiful parrot fish? Theres a few reasons you should never do that. 1. Coral needs parrot fish to survive. So by killing parrot fish your killing coral as well. 2. A parrot fish of that size carries significant risk of ciguatera poisoning. Thats something you never want to flirt with. If it doesn't kill you, you'll wish you were dead, and it can last for years. 3. Its such a pretty fish, leave it there so other snorkelers can watch it swim around.

Austin, I agree. Five demerits for spearing Parrotfish.

Hey guys, thanks for the comment. You are absolutely right. They are very good for coral reefs, they sometimes carry cig toxin, and they are beautiful. Hence why we have never speared one to date. The reason we did in Minerva, is that there is no cig poisoning due to the reef being so isolated and healthy and there is an ABUNDANCE of parrot fish as they are not over fished like everywhere else in the Pacific. We pick our battles and try to fish sustainably and I don't believe our catch would of affected the astounding ecosystem of this reef. Plus they are delicious and we have never been able to bring ourselves to eat one yet because of their beauty! So this we took as our one chance. I hope that explains it somewhat :-)

There is cig poisoning everywhere. It's not worth messing with! Speaking from experience
