I got an early look at the game this weekend thanks to a partnership with Saber Interactive, who gave me a key in advance!
Heading Out will be released on the 7th of May and is a mix of driving, strategy and visual novel gameplay styles. It features comic-style cutscenes where you get to know the strange world of Heading Out and have to make decisions with consequences. The same goes for the "strategy" part, where you have to plan your road trip taking into account money, energy, opportunities, police& all the while escaping your fears along the way!

I started and finished this game today, it caught my attention precisely because it reminded me of the Driver series in the images I saw on the website that was available. I really liked it and I think it's a great read on how the Driver series could have continued, still focusing only on digestibility and opening up this greater space for the story and decisions on the part of the player. Congratulations on the video for helping to promote the game among Driver fans.

This looks interesting! I love the concept of planning a cross country road trip and the existential, psychological plot. The comic book style cutscenes worked with Driver 76 on PSP, so why not try it again?
