Headless Horseman Flower Bed | Gothic Gardening

That pathway was clever and really made it all come together. If you ever feel like swapping out flowers in the future, some deep orange ones would really add that contrast to the black, be spooky, and also be a nod towards flames like the ones from his pumpkin in the story. Blanket flowers(Gaillardia) would be a good one, they look like they are on fire. Plus they're a perennial, drought resistant, hearty and hard to kill, and like full sun like that bed looks like it may get. Also, if you wanted to add some tombstones to make it spookier(the fencing gives a great graveyard vibe), At Home has some great mini tombstones of various sizes in their current Halloween collection. I was looking at picking up some myself, they look nicely detailed from people's videos that I have seen. This was such a cute & unique idea for a garden bed-well done!

Haha yeah, I actually looked for orange flowers, none of the stores had any 😭 I do want to redo it for Fall and I thought about replacing the flowers in their now with some orange mums! I know I'll be able to find orange then lol. I also want to get tombstones and am hoping to find some when I go out Halloween hunting. I have some from target from a long time ago, but they are way to small.

It’s so pretty 😍 I love the path you made for the headless horseman! Maybe next year to add even more black, you could stick some branchy trees into the sand along the path.

A moon-shaped 🌕 solar light stake could also be really cool… if such a thing exists… I imagine it does.

Oh yeah, that looks so dope! 🔥🎃🔥 The fencing really adds to the drama. You need some little 4 inch tombstones throughout the bed! That would really put it over the top. I'm wondering if some of those tiny solar path lights would work along the pathway (like from the Dollar Tree)? Also, did you say your SON was barking in the other room at the end? I nearly spit my drink out when you said that. Lol. 🖤💀
