Voiceplay just released a song so good it is disturbing... Hoist the Colours. It is jaw-dropping

Geoff Castelucci: 16 Tons. By far one of his best works.
@toddlower55463 жыл бұрын
A couple of things, the three heads were Geoff. (Singing in head voice of course.) This is a cover of a song from the '60's. The original story that the song is based on is an American folk tale written by Washington Irving.

Even in many of the VoicePlay videos Geoff COMMITS to a part. Watch The Little Mermaid Medley, he's Ursula! He does a D5 to a D1 run that will blow your socks off. He can also keep from dominating a song as he did in We're Good. Neither he nor Layne did that arrangement for We're Good, but the man who did created an amazing sound for an a capella group.

Voice play has a new cover hoist the colors Yes pirates and Geoff has a new solo bass cover monster mash cruise there pages lots of awsome works

This is one of my very favorites that he has done. Always 4 or 5 Geoffs singing. Thurl Ravenscroft did it for Disney

He has his own Solo songs...'Sixteen Tons', his latest is Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, from the Hobbit..check it out. This song is from Disney's animated movie Ichabod Crane.

You should check Geoff’s cover of ‘misty mountain cold’ and 16 tons’ and ‘blackbird’ and ‘ high and dry’
@kellywilliams3643 жыл бұрын
Voiceplay did a few others you will like: Queen in 5 Minutes, Warriors, Carry on my Wayward Son and My Mother Told Me. They also did a series of Billy Elish songs.
@gar78913 жыл бұрын
you guys should watch "Sixteen Tons" and "Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold" by him as well

Cool reaction! Loved it! You should hear his version of Misty Mountain Cold from The Hobbit, as well as Voiceplay's My Mother Told Me.....A Viking song

VOICEPLAY's "Hoist The Colours" and "Dragonborn Comes-Skyrim" are EPIC vocally and visually. Whomever does arrangement for song will direct their video. They pretty much do 99% of work themselves. Their creative minds are next level. Also check out "Little Mermaid Medley", "Queen In 5 Minutes", "Boy Bands In 5 Minutes". Another acapella group that has an insane bass singer is Home Free. Tim Foust also has an incredible vocal range very similar to Geoff.

@@kelleyoneal2578 to add on to the previously mentioned songs... Geoff's treat for us this Halloween is his solo cover of Jack's Lament from The Nightmare Before Christmas. VoicePlay recently released Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Valhalla Calling is their sequel to My Mother Told Me, and Geoff brought back the dwarves in I See Fire as the sequel to Misty Mountains Cold.

Geoff has a bunch of awesome solo songs that he does all his own harmonies too check them out. Blackbird, Country Roads, Misty Mountain Cold, Sixteen Tons a bunch of them. Another awesome Acapella group if u haven’t checked them out yet with an awesome bass with a great range is Homefree. They also have a badass world champion beatboxer! Check out their version of Man of Constant Sorrow first!

I would also say Misty Mountains Cold by Peter Hollens and Tim Foust is a great listen and it's full A-Capella Peter layered his voice many times to get the effect. It's been said that three dragons have awoken Avi Kaplan, Geoff Castellucci and Tim Foust. You've heard Geoff Castellucci. 😁👍🍻

I'm with you guys, always a bass freak. Maybe try his Blackbird. Or High and Dry. And Maybe VoicePlay's Warriors. Or Can't Help Falling in Love for something different.

Warriors or Wayward Son for VoicePlay, 16 Tons or Blackbird for Geoff. Love your reaction, thanks!

You like a powerful bass? Then you must check out other solo work by Geoff...and "Misty Mountains Cold" by Peter Hollens and Tim Foust, and "Black is the Color of my True Love's Hair" by Peter Hollens and Avi Kaplan, and "Change on the Rise" by Avi Kaplan, and "Chains" by Avi Kaplan (audio only, but don't let that stop you), and anything by Home Free (Tim Foust is their bass), and anything by Pentatonix (Avi Kaplan was their bass up through 2017, then Matt Sallee took over), and, as you already know, anything by VoicePlay.

Let's hear it for the subsonic E1 note! Thanks for a fun reaction; I appreciate it when you react to a variety of musical types. It's nice to see reactors who enjoy what they listen to. Should you want an interesting comparison reaction, both Geoff and Peter Hollens/Tim Foust did a version of Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold. I happen to prefer Geoff's, but both are fantastic. Also, if you want some great electronic bass, Band Maid's recent live video "No God" has some amazing bass from Misa. Highly recommended and it /has/ been a while since you did any Band Maid and you haven't played anything from their last two albums. :)

If you like good A Capella....check out Home Free "Man of Constant Sorrow" is a good intro, or Pentatonix. HF is more Country/Blues tilted and Pentatonix is more Pop/Synth tilted. Both are really good...Tim Foust from HF is a Bass comparable to Geoff. You won't be disappointed in anything either group does. Two wonderful rabbit holes to go down.

Geoff has a lot of other great solos out. Just a suggesting, get some over the ear headphones with decent size drivers. There's not an earbud on the market that can reproduce the notes he can sing on the low end.

Ja definitely check out Voiceplays other covers - boy bands in 5 minutes, queen, my mother told me. And check out Geoff's songs he did alone - Blackbird, Sixteen Tons, misty mountains and Take me home Country roads. Also check out Home Free. Very similar Acapella band with an insane Bass singer as well - Man of Constant Sorrow and Ring of fire. Listen to these 2 first then listen to their cover of Mayday. Enjoyed your guys reactions
