Okay but Peter it works intermittently. Also, the bright lights flicker works ALL the time. When I tested the bulb socket, all three pins gave a positive (+) reading when the bright lights didn't work. During the time when the bright lights did work, two side were positive (+) and one side was negative (-).

I have a problem with my car and I'm afraid to spend on something that might not work. My car is automatic and Sometimes it turns on other times it wont. when it doesnt turn on there is usually a clicking noise on the Relay box (head lamp to be exact) When I try to remove it the clicking moves to the other relay fuse (rear lamp) then etc... The people at the auto shop are saying it is the starter but I dont think it is because even without turning on the car The head lights wont turn on and there is the occasional clicking noise on the relay box. (sometimes it clicks even when the key is out of the ignition) I really need your opinion on this because I don't think its the starter. Thanks!

For anyone else with this issue it's either an old battery that isn't fully charging hence at times it'll need a jump. You'll want it to be an old battery because the other possibility would be a bad alternator which isn't charging the battery enough or at all. While I'm sure the OP has fixed his issue, if anyone else has the same issue, the battery - followed by the alternator - would be where you'd want to start trouble shooting. Good luck, grease monkeys. 😉

Hey.. i connected a 12 v day time running lights to both my car headlights about a month ago.. they were working just fine until yesterday they randomly went out.. (both headlight and DRLs). After a couple minutes checking all the fuses, i found two fuses which are blown (15 amps). after checking the owners manual, I've came to conclusion that they are connected to the highlights. I replaced the fuses with another 15 amp fuse and when i turned on the lights (engine was off). They suddenly went out, i replaced them once again and took off the DRLs and they went once again.. is it possible this might be a short circuit, or the switch is burnt out?

The fault may be a broken cable and the cable catches on the frame. Check the wires and replace them

On my jeep commander 06 low beam working fine the one day stop the problem was in the plug connector to bulb mine was bad save yourself time and money start here first my was burnt all you need to to is replace connector on my jeep commander there is no fuse or relay I found I was going to run wires from good low beam this is how I found problem when I touch the connector the one on good side is going bad why I quest the area so tight it is easy to pull wires from plug connector or break wire in connector I am happy i fix it on my own after Texas city cop pull me over with a warning on light

Hi peter i have a 2003 camry and the low beams suddenly dont work. High beams work fine everyting else works fine the bulbs of both high and low beam work in high beam but low beam dont . I checked the fuses all good . When i use the drivers light stick switch i hear the click in the relay work on low and the click to high . So its not a switch issue. Even i hear the click on low beam but no low beam lights could this be the issue with the relay or something else ? Thanks mate

My high beams work but my low beams do not! Fuses are good and I replaced the relay and they still do not work.

I have a 2008 Toyota Highlander. Had the bulbs changed and shortly after only the low beams work. The high beam indicator on my dash shows they are on but they don't come on (high beams, both sides). Help?
