Headlight Relays on a 1974 C3 Corvette - Bench Test and then REPLACE

Good video. The headlights on my 75 are lazy but do work. I rebuilt the actuators and it did speed them up a little.

Great video. Quick question. Can you use the meter on the vacuum pump to check that vacuum is coming from the source if you don’t have a dedicated manometer?

vacuum pump? Humm the 1974 does not have a vacuum pump - it uses the naturally created vacuum from the engine. I have seen people install a vacuum pump - especially if they are running a hot cam - which significantly reduces vacuum. But if you want to test vacuum - that is easy just hook up the tester to the main line coming from the carb.

Great video have a question, mine will push up and you start the car and they go down they want come up unless you push them up but then they close

Great video, I am trouble shooting my 81 as we speak. Please don't take this the wrong way but what eye glass frames are those? Looking for a pair like those that I had in the past...lol But if you have make and model # I would appreciate it.

Glad it helped - I found out that the values in the headlight relay were a weak spot in the system. Replacement fixed it for me.

I doubt it. But I'm not sure where they are manufactured.

They are slow because the brand new relays are bad. They should come up within 3-4 seconds. Believe me , I have messed with aftermarket relays, you get a good one every now and then.
