Ceratoke has a stronger protective coating for the last step. I restored some lights using turtle wax and had to redo them for free so pay the couple extra dollars for longer lasting protection

@@ansonfoxx8962 yes I’ve heard Cerakote is great! I’ll be doing a video to compare soon, but those headlights from the video, I washed the car not too long ago, after 2 years of doing them and they look the same. I’ll be keeping an eye for the next years. But I’m sure Cerakote has better technology and an overall better kit. Thanks 👍🏻

@@FanNETiqueAutoSolutions The turtle wax brand works great so does the rain x brand. I also noticed you had more pads than I had in my kit and you had the spray bottle so it seems my kit was missing some steps

Updated it to what? The kit I bought a year ago had the little sandpaper block, a bottle of polish/ restorer stuff, and the acrylic wipes

@jonnygti the one I used came with 2 sanding blocks labeled 1234, 2 bottles, one for polish and one for water lube and 2 wipes, one for cleaning and the other one for clear coat.

@@06Salvi_LGT wow ok, they added a lot more products then. How much was the kit? It was very cheap here in the uk, i paid £14.99. I’m guessing it’s abit more expensive if they’ve added more products to the kit? The kit I used with just a two sided sanding block, one bottle of polish, and a couple of acrylic wipes did an amazing job on my slightly foggy/yellowed headlights. It lasted over a year before I noticed it could do with doing again, but still not as bad as before I used the product

Just use the big container of normal turtle wax with an orbital buffer after a good wash and dry. Keep it out of the sun, and it works just as well and it goes quicker

Any method that doesn't clear coat them with proper clear coat will need frequent refurbishing. All you need to do instead of this is wet sand with 400 and then 1000 paper and then spray with 2k clear coat. It really is that simple.

I wanted to show this kit which is what most people would buy, I washed this car not long ago and the headlights were still as clear as when I did them, for a 20-25$ kit or something, I think it’s alright. But as you said other methods will give you better and longer lasting results. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻

It should look like that at first when you're using the rougher one but as you move to the higher grit pad it will start clearing up

You can buy at your local store, mine was Canadian tire. Or you can find it online. I wouldn’t recommend to a full time detailer though, get sand paper and a compound/polish, it’s better

@@PromNightDumpsterBaby420the little squares are just sandpaper, I have a kit from 3M that project farm showed to have much better results, and all it is, is different grit sandpapers starting at 500 with a drill wheel and a polish pad with some compound too and it looked incredible, but if I did paint or any bigger headlights I’d be researching which grits or looking at those grits and buying the sanding wherls
