I dont think you guys had any idea just how much people wanted guys like you to look into these.. and now i hope you look into a lot more consumer stuff. We all want to hear from people that actually know what here talking about. Guys on KZbin with millions of followers are just giving uninformed opinions, but have a charm, and in the end no one really takes their opinion that serious. As much as I like the Marquees and the Neistats, they have no actual education on how these things are engineered and what to look for, and it renders their videos on tech reviews nothing more than if i was talking to my buddy about it, which its totally fine and they’re very entertaining at it, hence the numbers.... but sometimes i want to hear what real experts see, specially w expensive stuff, and without all the fanboy undertones.
@chillz2613 жыл бұрын
I think the appeal come from the fact that the overwhelming majority of people purchasing these products have about the same amount, if not less, of knowledge on these types of products. Hearing experts discuss these things is super interesting, but I feel like unless you yourself are an expert, you wouldn’t be able to appreciate what they’re saying even if you were to purchase these headphones for yourself.
@drsus03 жыл бұрын
@@chillz261 listening to experts is educational .... therefore you’ll know more about what they’re talking after listening to them. In this case they would make you more educated in something, that as you say, you were going to purchase anyway. To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzbin.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

Low power mode kicks in after 5 min not 2 hours .

Been using it for exactly a week now and can only say, those headphones are pretty impressive. I normally use the Focal Elegia for editing and streaming (which can't be replaced by the Apple one, considering the quality with the additional 39$, being terribly BAD!!!!). But otherwise, the comfort is great despite the weight, the sound and the SPATIAL SOUND gives a great experience, especially when you scroll through TikTok for instance, where everybody is using very different time of recording devices, some of them having 3D mode, which is extremely well interpreted by the Airpod max. The Case is ridiculous though. But I've been using it all day long, outside (0°Celsius here in Switzerland), in the office, and can't find much to complain. The connection switch between devices can be enhanced, still doesn't work perfectly, but still way better than the Sony WH1000XM4 (which btw has many issues with delays when used with multiple devices). So, as a conclusion, I can say that the AirpodMax is really worth the price ( only very important points in my opinion: make it Jack compatible for pros, improve the case, improve the impact point where both aluminium size touch when laid flat (scratches easily then). What I love most: the Apple Watch Nob, VERY VERY enjoyable and efficient, Transparency mode is simply amazing and works very well even when turning head, Construction and general quality, absolutely remarkable.

AirPodsMax are stylish, elegant, and beautiful. The sound is very good. The Spatial Sound is cool. Would appreciate more ability to fine tune within Spatial Sound; and easy switching between Stereo and Spatial. These Pods work well with Bose and JBL speakers. However, the stainless steel construction rather than titanium makes them heavy on the head. The cheap looking netted headband that looks worse over time has no cushioning and is uncomfortable and headachy for some. Suggest using bubble wrap to cushion the band if discomfort is an issue. For the hefty price, Apple could have done much better in terms of user comfort. I do not plan to upgrade due to the head band issue. Discerning audiophiles like the option to cord connect to speakers. Thankfully, Apple has a cord that you can buy separately that can connect these Pods by Jack or Aux port to Studio type speakers. You may need an adapter. Other great studio type headphones with incredible sound used by audiophiles, studio techs, and musicians are made in Germany and Italy. A few are cheaper than Apple with comfortable head bands. If you are invested in the Apple universe, and have compatible speakers, then buy these. Everyone should have more than 1 pair of headphones.

@@GBR9794 but it's very inconvenient to use a hifi cans when your doing things that requires more complicated movements like working out. Plus it's not every time that you have a good DAC and AMP with you to power you headphones like for example when I was in the gym then I suddenly had a Zoom meeting. Bluetooth headphones have their specific use and place.

@@GBR9794 BT dongle doesn't do it for me because the IEM still has a cable. I damage so many IEM cables in my workouts especially when I do high intensity exercises. I only use hifi gear when I'm at home just relaxing.

Surprised no one picked up on the headband being reminiscent of a tuning fork.

Was there something up with the settings on the macbook? I can't imagine many people wanting to listen at more than 100% volume on these things and they all said it was pretty quiet. Even with transparency mode on, 75% is enough to overpower anyone talking in your vicinity. 65% is enough for comfortable listening for me. Or maybe I just don't realise how loud most people listen to stuff on headphones..

The power actually transfers through the metal headband from the right can! Both batteries are in the right can!
