I know you did this tutorial months ago but i was waiting to get a new laptop to beable to down load stuff on my headrush pedal board and everything i was trying didn't work and everyone is using a Mac Thanks for using a PC and the part about not ejecting the Headrush before syncing was the difference all the stuff i wanted to download came though Thank you so much for your time doing these tutorials

Just wondering since getting your JCM tubed amp, how are you going to run it with Headrush. Return in F/X loop or 4CM?

I haven't been able to get that many hours with it yet, but I did try 4CM a few days ago and loved it. Thinking I'm gonna go that route for a while just to change things up for myself. The setup is a bit tedious so that sucks, but it's just another way to skin a cat. My next trial is gonna be just going straight into the return and just use it as a power amp. We'll see how it goes. I'm sure I'll get a video of my results made.

Does the RIG folder work the same way? My rig file is getting crazy, and it takes quite a while for my Gigboard to load, and also forever to find a rig.

As far as I know ow the Rig folder does not support sub folders so further organization that way is not an option. I'm making a video on keeping rigs organized soon but I'll give ya a short bullet point version of some tips: Delete all factory rigs, they're not that good anyway. That eliminates like a couple hundred. You can do this on your computer the same way you delete anything else, just be careful not to delete the rigs you've made yourself. Use color coding to organize rigs. In hardware assign you can assign a rig a specific color then in the rigsenu you sort by color. Use setlists. Get as creative as you want here. Setlists are a great way to organize rigs any way you choose

I always make a backup folder on my computer and rarely delete anything but yes, a lot of the pre-loaded rigs will never be used by me

Yes it goes to 2048 when you simply don't select 1024

Hey Alex, I just opened up my HR PB and had my friend come over and to updates and install some Bogren and Celestion IR's. I bought it new in 2017 so it sat for 7 years. I didn't think my 2009 MacBook Pro would work but apparently it did. We'll see. It no longer supports browsers. Fk'ers. So, i'm almost 60 and retarded basically and a technophobe.So i have no fraking idea what to do hear. I want great cleans, and the heaviest downtuned metal. I have actual heads, PRS Tremonti mini head, ENGL FB 60, 5150 lll, 6505+, Laboga mr. hector, Peavey Misha 20 watt, Orange Dark Terror, Orange OR15, Randall RG100es, & RG100tube model (rare) and all the original Dime rack gear, many modelers, even an Prophesy 1, many pre-amps and analog speaker simulators,like humbolt and Neunaber Iconoclast, so i have used amperos, 1, & 2 Stomp. Mooers, Digitech Rp's, and can play a little. Just an old guy with no computer skills whatsoever, and even anxiety but trying. I'm looking at this thing and scrolling and just have no idea. I usually never have to read directions installing and assembling things. Do you have other tutorials, and can you recommend other ones that are basic for a dummy like myself ? I subscribed and liked. Do you still like this unit, and still use it and what is your opinion of it compared to others in 2024. I am also interested in Plug-ins , but because of Computer prices and an ancient MacBook, I'm not going to even go there. I even have new Helix LT, and a XL500HD still in the box smh. @@teriakamoto thanks for watching! I do have other tutorials on my channel, anything with the yellow and black thumbnail is a "how to" video so those might help. Doc McFarland also great tutorials and much more content than I do since I actually got rid of my HR a while ago. Compared to other modelers these days, I'd say the Headrush holds up just fine, especially because it's so easy to use compared to some of the deep menu diving modelers out there.

@@teriakamoto the difference in sound between 2048 and 1024 is mostly negligible. People can argue that there is more detail in a 2048 on a technical level and that's true, but in a real world application I'd say it's difficult or nearly impossible to pinpoint or quantify.

IRs (.wav files) go into the Impulse Responses folder

I won't be able to get around to that for probably a couple of days, but for now there's a similar rig in a link in my "Modded JCM800s" video. It still uses my old method of parametric eq + compressor, so that will sound different. Just remove those blocks and dial in a parametric EQ behind the Lead 800 Bass Mod to match the settings from my "custom impedance curves" video and you'll basically have what I have here
