Hi Headrush! I ordered an MX5 today, and i'm really excited to get my hands on it! I have a Boss Katana 50 Mk 2, I would like to ask if i can use the power amp in on the Katana if i have an amp and cab sim on my MX5 signal patch, or should i only use the amp sim on my signal patch? Thanks for your help!

@@HeadRushFX I have the PODGO and just purchased the MX-5. After playing through the HR for a few minutes, I was already wondering if I might sell the PODGO. I was already getting tones I was well pleased with quickly, where with the PODGO I would have to tweak for a while and try different IRs. I find myself Tweeking more than playing. The only drawback I see is the PODGO has more foot switches. Although, I think you might make do with the HR by getting creative with the scenes. I also have a Line 6 HR Effects which I love. Will soon be trying it out with the HR using the 4 cable method. This will eliminate the HR lack of switch issue.

@@ksjohnson8197 that is amazing! Fyi- MX5 has midi connections. This will enable you to connect a foot controller and access all 11 blocks, looper controls and more. 🙌

Can you play the mx5 on a regular ghitar amp with the 4 cable method? And use the modeler, effect and IR? Or its going to sound weird because you are stacking 2 amp/cab together?

Happy to help. Yes, the MX5 is great with the 4 Cable Method. We will have a video coming out on that soon. As for the "And use the modeler, effect and IR?" question. To be honest no modeler (ever) is meant to be used into a standard amp with amp or cab modeling on. It just isn't meant for that. Doesn't mean you can't get results, it is just all modelers are meant to be use into PA, FRFR, Headphones, studio monitors or in ears.

So, i bought an amp and cab unit, and people are saying just to use the pre amp into the cab, i don’t know how to do it. And the preset tones just don’t sound right, I’ve got the output set to amp, but everyone elses headrush tones sound amazing

Is there also a driver for mobile devices? When I connect the MX5 to my phone by the USB port and try to record a video it doesn't capture the audio signal. The sample rate setting in the Global Settings is shown as offline and in a red color. But when I try to record somehing with Instagram's camera or with the Bandlab App (powered by Cakewalk or something) it works just fine and the sample rate setting stays at online satus in a green text color. Is there something that can be done to solve this?

Yes this is possible. Easiest way is to use one of our split signal paths and pan hard left and right.

I would like to know that myself. The older Eleven Rack allowed you to change some perimeters with a 2 switch pedal via a TRS cable inserted in either a Foot switch or expression jack on the back. I used it to switch rigs up and down. BTW, I would love to see a new Headrush version of the Eleven Rack with a premium mic preamp(s). Although with the nice audio interfaces out today, maybe it would be redundant.

MX5 has a stereo FX Loop that you can place anywhere inside your digital chain.

What are the uses of Midi in/out for a guitar player?

You can connect extra (midi based) footswitches, pedals, knobs and so on. I use the headrush sometimes for effects on my analog synth (yes, some synth players use pedals), I can link buttons on my keyboard to certain values of effects. Midi out for start-stop of a drum computer, clock sync etc.

whats the process for best sound quality into the AUX input to play along to a song? mine sounds pretty terrible

Great question, first you will want to make sure you're using a stereo cable and not mono. Next is to get the sound even by adjusting the volume from the device your using and your Rig Output level in the Output Block.

Shame on you headrush... I’m tried to buy it in my county , and it’s impossible... sellers just tell to wait 6 months, and maybe then mx5 will be available . It’s more easy and fast to buy 13 iPhone than headrush mx5... it’s very sad , I’m love your products , you are great company
