Dude that MX5 is Sick Tight!! i was stuck using a crappy POD HD500 recording my current record. just kidding the POD HD500 is a solid unit but it doesn't have that cool touch screen for easy setup of presets like the MX5.

it has a desktop app tho, and headrush doesn't :p
@Radio-Spirit-Music3 жыл бұрын
@@bilalnachabeh yeah desktop app is cool. gonna use it this week to bunch up all my best patches in the first few banks for easy access. just got done recording guitars for my second record in last couple of days. soon it's vocal recording time. gonna use the HD 500 like last record for main vocals then use this Zoom V6 I just got for back up vocals and other texturing effects.

Is there a copy to new once you have a setup you like to use as a template to save time?
@Triumphinchrist13 жыл бұрын
Very cool ! Thanks for the tutorial.How many new rigs can it save? Will the factory rigs remain as I begin to save new rigs? If you assign stomps to the 3 foot switches I am wondering how you would change from one tone to another.I guess there should be a way to quickly step out of that stomp mode.
@HeadRushFX3 жыл бұрын
Glad this was helpful, here's your answers. You can save virtually endless rigs. Yes, the factory rigs will remain. You can go up and down rigs in Stomp mode by pushing either the middle and far left footswitch, or the middle and far right footswitch. You can also change your Pedal mode very quickly but holding the far left footswitch down and choosing your mode.

Is there a way to copy and paste rigs? Or duplicate rigs? I’m trying to maintain a rig within a set list of numerous songs, maintaining the ‘rig’ but changing the bpm for each song

Thanks that really helps. Wondering if I want to use amp/cab simulation in the Headrush mx5 is there a way to bypass amp's preamp is there an option within 4 cable method scenario to switch between using amp's preamp and bypassing without needing to re patch cables?

why you use the 1/4 Stereo TRS to 1/4 TS cable in your rig? what the different if we use TS mono cable in left (mono) output only?

Are any of the amps 2 channel like a real amp? And if so can one of the footswitches be assigned to toggle between clean and drive?
@zoilopazos183 жыл бұрын
Don’t think so. That’s why you have a tangerine ch1 and a tangerine ch2 for instance. You can either use a foot switch to toggle each one or the exp pedal for both.
@ThePilate303 жыл бұрын
@@zoilopazos18 yeah I realized that more I dug into it more. I did that with a rig and created scenes using the SLO Clean and drive amps. Thanks 👍

Just a question. I am wanting to use this for an acoustic and an acoustasonic Tele. Any idea if this will work I like the size. I do a load of looping with the Looperboard so need it for that app.

No mention of a required power amp you also need to buy separately?
@HeadRushFX3 жыл бұрын
Hello and happy to help. This is just like any other multi effects modeler or even standard pedals on the market and you do need to plug it into some type of guitar amp/FRFR cab/studio monitors or some type of powered speaker source.
@INeverWanted20103 жыл бұрын
@@HeadRushFX Thanks for the reply and sorry for the snarkiness. So you don't need a separate power section if you're just plugging directly into a audio interface/PC?
@HeadRushFX3 жыл бұрын
@@INeverWanted2010 that is correct as long as you're using your computer speakers or studio monitors.

Only reason why I don't purchase the MX5 is the absence of a software editor (as far as I know)

There all rhe same effects. The factory just adjust what they think is write. Do ya srlf a huge favour. And throw it in the fire. And buy your self a real valve amp. Cos this sounds shocking. I no he carnt play at all. But u can clearly here it's junk

Headrush chat says with MX5, you can make a split output rig, in order to assign one output to a cab and one to an IR. My goal is to use it live, and feed one output to a power amp/stage cab, and one with an IR to FOH / IEM's. I know it's a poor man's option, but apparently the only way to do it with he MX5. My question is, do you have to put an amp on both L & R and add all the same effects? to get the same sound out to both outputs? If not, do you end up with 1 clean output and 1 dirty output. Hopefully that makes sense, thx!
