thank you so much for this tutorial! so helpful I have managed to assign a rig to each footswitch in advanced custom mode, however i noticed that this only seems to work if the rigs are in the same setlist. I have a question. Is there a way to to set footswitch 4 to the looper in advanced custom mode? I have tried using both cc and PC 70, but it does not seem to recognise it. thanks! please keep up the great work and make more headrush midi videos :) edit: i managed to figure it out, using the single step with 2 banks sorted the setlist issue out and also forgot to assign another cc for value 0 and 127. looper is working now! please make more headrush midi videos would love to see them.

Curious but have you tried using a 3.5mm splitter and connecting multiple Chocolates (or Chocolate + other midi controller)? I wonder if the Headrush Midi-in would support that?

Hey man, i am able to setup this one for CC mode (using trs cable) but unable to make the PC mode work for MX5. I followed all your steps, please let me know if you have any other trouble shooting steps. Also since i have CC mode setup, i have assigned the foot switch to the midi controller (that is : 50, 51 and 52) in hybrid mode. My intention is to go to the next patch with 52 and previous patch with 51. But the system is instead taking me to tuner with 52 and looper with 51. Any ideas how to fix this ?

Hi, I appreciate your video. I have had zero success sending MIDI commands over TRS. I'm not sure if you're using an android or iOS app to program it but the IOS app doesn't seem to have all the settings that yours does. I can not get it to bluetooth pair with anything besides my iPhone and the TRS doesn't work at all. For troubleshooting I even tried a VoiceLive 3 that has an actual MIDI in and that didn't work either. Is there a setting needed that allows MIDI to be sent over the TRS Pedal port on the M-Vave? Otherwise, how does the M-Vave know whether the pedal port is being used for an external expression pedal or TRS MIDI? (I confirmed that my MX-5 MIDI is working while sending a program change from the VoiceLive 3) Thank you!

hey, thanks for reaching out,, i'm using android & not tried ios,, also check your channel setting, the mx5 & app settings should need to match, otherwise it will not work, also check you trs wiring may be its interchanged polarity, try also to reset the apps cache and star again from scratch,, you can also watch my part 1 for this series, there is a tutorial there at the begining on how to install the app,, hope that helps...

@@KeyboardMac Hi! Thanks for writing. I definitely have both units set to MIDI channel 1. I just tried a brand new TRS cable and that didn't help. The iOS app doesn't give the option to reset the cache. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app but that didn't help either. On your android app is there a setting or option needed to configure the TRS output jack on the M-Vave from pedal input to MIDI output? Also, I would love to know if you or anyone has successfully configured this with the iOS app. Thank you so much!
