You can turn off the expression pedal and use the plug as a midi out, so you don't have to use the wireless thing. I didn't try, but maybe it will work via USB too. My use of the chocolate and mx5 is the looper. I can toggle the recording/overdubbing with one switch, start/stop or pell with one switch (short/long press), reverse or short the loop with one switch and double the loop with the last switch. This saves the unit's switches. To play gigs, I'd probably use the program change in mode B and use the unit"s switches to change scenes.

Hi, How do you turn off the expression pedal to use TRS MIDI? I'm using the iOS version of the CubeSuite app and don't see a setting for telling the unit to use TRS MIDI rather than an expression pedal on that port and can't get it to work.

I figured it out. On the iOS version of the cube suite app you have to click on the left and right arrow to the left of the 1/4" jack icon. That gives you the option to change the jack from Expression pedal in to TRS MIDI out. I will post a video on my channel sometime soon 🙂

The problem was that the Android version of Cubesuite he was using is different that the iOS version of the app. The "connection" button with the two arrows is not clearly labeled on the IOS app, but the two arrows are to the left of the 1/4" jack icon. That finally brought up the right menu. I'll be posting and video demonstrating that with iOS sometime soon. :-)
