This is a wonderful video! I have owned both headsets and can say HANDS DOWN, for office use, the Engage is far better. I say this for one MAJOR reason...the microphone sensitivity. I have had my dogs barking in the background or people speaking to me while in a meeting and that mic WILL NOT pick it up. It is amazing. I don't know how you could hear the blender in your video. That was not my experience. If you move the mic to eye level, nobody can hear you speak. The mic is soooo awesome and private! It must be directly in front of your lips. The Evolve mic will pick up noise from the room and people can hear. Second reason, the extra distance is great for those who like to walk around the office or the house while in meetings. Oh, one more GREAT thing about the Engage...the MUTE button on the mic boom. Holy crap that is awesome. I used it all the time because I would be walking around and not at my pc to mute. The added price is well worth those 3 things I mentioned. While the Evolve is nice, I actually regret it after using the Engage. If you are in an office setting in an open room, definitely get the Engage.

Thanks for another great review. Interesting to compare between DECT and bluetooth. The engage had slightly better audio qualiy and was louder, but evolve sounded really clear too.

Hi Simon, there's pros and cons to Bluetooth and DECT like anything else, so it really depends on the users needs as to which way we would guide someone.

Do you know if there are any plans for an e"evolve3" soon? Safe to assume the evovle2 had better lows correct?
@HeadsetAdvisor Жыл бұрын
We haven't heard of an Evolve3 coming out anytime soon.

Is the DECT 6.0 technology going to be in offices the next few years? Or should I invest in Bluetooth headset because DECT will go away?
@HeadsetAdvisor Жыл бұрын
There's no plans for DECT to go away, so depending on your needs would determine the best wayt to go.

Is there opportunity to make calls in the iPhone with the engaged 65? Do you know if the engaged can take the calls of an iPhone on a mac due the „ apple handsfree“ function ?

Hi Sedi, unfortunately the Engage 65 won't connect with a cell phone. The Engage 75 will.

I have the evolve one and a wired Jabra BZ2300 (physically, similar to the engage). I use headphones it all day for work meetings and I prefer the BZ2300 just because is so much lighter (with the evolve my ears and head hurt). Thanks for the review @Headset Advisor! I am thinking in acquire the Jabra Engage 65, Do you know if it is compatible with Linux Ubuntu? If not, that would be a deal breaker for me. Thanks again!

Thanks for watching! We haven't heard any of our customers conneecting the Engage 65 with Linux and don't see anywhere that the Engage 65 would be compatible. We do have customers who have stated the Logitech H800 did work for them. @@HeadsetAdvisor Thanks so much for the reply and the answer. You know, some software developer friends (not many though) are realizing about the quality of Jabra products, now that we are working from home, since we need to cancel noise in background. Many of us use Linux as main OS. I think this is a niche that will start growing. Thanks again!

@@jorgwel You’re welcome and if the demand increases for headsets requested for Linux you bet the manufacturers will start making solutions.
