Been leveling both a resto druid and shaman in tww dungeons and its night a day. You spend 90% of your time just refreshing hots on druid that do fuck all healing meanwhile shaman does one chainheal and it heals the whole party to full.

The xpac brought mw the rework to Crane Style and the removal of Essence Font. Fistweaving builds got a little shake up with the reduced haste on top of these. Right now, if you go Master of Harmony, you're a powerhouse for 10-18 secs every 30 second. There's also more focus on Mastery/Gusts of Mists with Fistweaving because of the GoM buffs and Crane Style! It's extremely fun and most of the healing is passive from doing your DPS rotation and taking advantage of things like Zen Pulse and Vivify cleave every 10-15 seconds :D It is definitely different than DF, but equally as fun.

idk man, oracle got a HUGE buff right before launch, and disc has one of the biggest straight healing % buff they've ever done coming. Druid literally got nothing and they've been in a dire state for a long time, their hero talents are absolutely awful. Easily the worst of all healers.

A hero tree buff fixes no problems of the core build of healer priest... it just helps oracle to be more competitive against archon/voidreaver. The priest base tree and especially holy tree have the most 2 point notes of all classes and didn't got an remap/ modernization in ages (df changes were so minimal...) + only 3 end notes which doesn't let you make diverse builds (either way you use divine word + image or well/lightweaver + image).

However I see a lot of talents shuffling and text changing that leads me to believe they're cooking something that's not quite ready to show yet. Meanwhile for Priest I don't even have any hope based off what I'm seeing. And as for buffs... The class needs looked at from a rework standpoint. Not from a buff the numbers standpoint. It lacks most of the utility other classes have. Double healing specs with no battle rez. And Disc has long since lost its niche as the damage dealing healer. Every healer does damage now. Most of them are better than Disc priest at it too, lol.

People upset with priest but I’m doing like 1mil dps in aoe and have 0 issues healing. In raid with archon halo every minute, salv, hymn. They don’t oom. They’re chilling. Yes the interrupt is an issue No poison or curse dispel But make a group around it

No interrupt and a bad dispel is a huge issue but they have been pretty clear that is not something they want to change so if you're picking priest expecting this to change you're going to be disappointed. Not that I agree but it is Blizzard's position

The issue with not having a good dispell and a kick has nothing to do with high end viability, I never said that it does. It's still an issue, it's the only healer that needs to rely on team mates to do this, which just does not feel good.

@@damienwyles6515 Druids don't rely on other people to interrupt, you yourself said they can interrupt by going into cat form, they're in cat form half the time anyway because of cat weaving. I again never said they're make or break, you for some reason are trying to put on me your frustration with other comments. The class is fine, my M+ team's healer picked disc this expansion and I'm fine with his choice, we'll deal with it. It just feels bad And I don't need to even comment on how interrupting/dispelling is way more important than soothing right? Almost every pack has a interrupt/dispell, not even all dungeons have a use for soothing

Wild that the holy paladin damage isn't getting addressed. They got a lot of reworks but are still so far behind other healers on this subject and that for a melee healer. Even if they for example increase consecration damage by 500% its still not even close to shaman's healing rain for example.

It's two separate talents now, but Permeating Chill is now baseline, and one of the talents is in its former spot. So slight nerf if you didn't spec one of the CC options before, slight buff if you did.

You have to press 10x the buttons Prevoker and Rshaman do to do barely the same amount of healing while doing less dps.... Bring back adaptive swarm and get Flourish the fuck out of the same talent slot as photosynthesis. Right now Flourish is unusable when it's mandatory to get Photosynthesis.

Yes please. The spec feels so empty without flourish and adaptive swarm. Now we're pigeon-holed into being a tree summoner and ramping 24/7 just to dream of pulling shaman numbers. The lack of opportunities for damage is my biggest gripe though. You can't hot and forget anymore. You have to be a constant state of refreshing 15 different hots across the party or else you can't heal any burst damage. You're chained to a laundry list meanwhile you're 1 pixel on the dps meters because all you managed to get out is a sunfire and two moonfires.

I like it when you can choose a passive ability where you are not handicapped, however if you take an ability that requires a higher skill level then your class/play excels to the next level. This caters for beginners and the more experienced players and gives you the ability to tweak to your own playstyle.

In my eyes Disc's talent tree was 80-90% complete. It allowed for different play styles with some synergies between the talents. If you looked on subcreation or warcraftlogs, you could find different builds with different focuses that gave comparable results. If you were having trouble in a dungeon, you could try a different build to see if it suited you better. Sure, there were 2-3 talents that could have used a little buff, but overall I was very happy, especially considering that Disc didn't allow any choice in talents during BFA and Shadowlands. But then they had to update Disc to a Smitebot. And I fully agree that he's been far easier to play in m+ since then. However, it also doesn't allow much significant freedom in talent choice (really just whether you want to play with UP in Raid or not). Several talents have become useless and the playstyle in raids has become far more stressful in my eyes. Before, you were only immobile during the ramp. Now you're immobile between ramps too. After all you have to squeeze out your 8-15 smites somehow while playing the mechanics. It's totally incomprehensible to me that Blizzard doesn't seem to see any need for revision here.

Been playing holy oracle priest and already started levelling my shaman. I wish archon would be playable in mythic plus. I really enjoyed the simple play style of holy after maining resto Druid for 8 years and now oracle feels clunky to play and I hate it.

I've played a lot of holy priest and while I like Oracle and can see where I can use every ability in raids or m+, I found using them it in heroics was clunky because I didn't have the buff I most needed so archon was providing steadier healing and a good bit of damage on trash pulls which is where pug groups seemed to struggle the most of me. The big shield was coming in so clutch I found myself cycling through the other abilities to get to it when I didn't have a practical application for the over-healing buff.

Kind of randomly decided I'd give healing a real go this expack for the first time. Disc Priest got leveled first. Love the class fantasy but was finding it kind of tough. Turns out if low rated AND the hardest healer over all lol. But then I got my monk leveled and have been really liking MW. So this is gonna be really exciting for me. Still hope Priest gets some love though.

Idk I think that sac talent's kind of awful, ideally you aren't sacing someone at 35% and the fact that it triggers your cd means it will often be wasteful as there's countless times where people reach 35% hp but there's either no follow up damage or it's completely expected and being managed another way so sac would be wasted. I hope they reconsider that one as it sounds like I'd never take it. Also tanks (especially blood dks) go below 35% all the time and randomly sacing a tank without planning to can be very dangerous for the paladin and again usually isn't needed as it's not unexpected.

As a longtime Mistweaver, I couldn't disagree more. It's actually REALLY nice to be able to do both Mist or Fist styles. It makes deciding on talents super interesting, especially in War Within so far. It's super fun and it's really weird to complain about this. Being able to play a single spec in different ways is a good thing. Please don't pretend like it's not just because you don't get it.

I'm saddened that Priests got literally no changes. However, if I had to choose, then I would much rather prefer a rework on a new patch instead of the middle of one. I believe priest needs substantial changes to class and spec trees that would feel really bad to learn mid progression. Even if you are done progressing, then you sort of miss out on that fun experience of progressing when you are hyped for new changes. By the time the next tier rolls around, then most things would be "solved" and you wouldn't have that exploratory test period.

Personally I think holy needs to remove a few spells that look more like discipline or unholy should have and get 1-2 new to add to rotation for healing and damaging spells as well I think the angelic Hym talent and mass prayer or even AOE heal they have should be combined into 1 think where u pull out a angelic harp more attune to the healing spell Pali has where they read a Bible n then cast holy light. Personally I wouldn’t mind priest being where we are if I could do more trolly stuff with mind games like vanilla wow or dispel magic with raid buffs but yah they want u to be supportive and helping class not troll others think that was the biggest nerf

Nope, It is perfectly fine. Use the talent to make your fire breath heal and it’s even better as you spread the dot which increases healing when you engulf it. Very strong for dungs at the moment due to tanks pulling everything

Anyone playing disc priest right now i've got questions. Whats your issue? No poison/curse dispel? cool other classes can do that. Not all healers have a curse dispel. I saw someone cry about not being able to move and heal? Penance? Shields? Rapture? Flash procs? No build variation? what other classes really have much variation when it comes down to end game? Obviously only heroic dungeons have been released so far but ive had ZERO issues healing the dungeon and i love the void priest look/feel. Incorporating schism into mindblast was great - less bloat. Radiance into mindblast > penance > Void bolt spam feels great for aoe healing (imo) I personally think we've been in the best state since cata.

As a multi class healer - dragon, disc priest and shaman my main gripe with priest is how it’s designed. You have very bad mobility and utility but your healing and dmg is meh. And not only that but it requires you to be proactive as a healer instead of just throwing down a totem and healing rain you have to pre radiance before you do anything and make sure everyone has atonement. Same goes on dragon I just put out instant cast heals and empowered spells and disintegrate my way while moving non stop. I don’t think disc priest is in a horrible spot but compared to the others the amount of set up and investment doesn’t feel “worth” it.

@@benruhl716 I feel like thats down to personal preference though right? Youre 100% right in saying that its more proactive and you sometimes have to do more than some other classes. But i also feel like youre more rewarded sometimes for that. Its why theyre almost always meta for Mythic raid progression. Im probably more bias as i love the atonement > dmg > proactive rapture/barriers playstyle

@@damienwyles6515 The thing is though you aren't rewarded for it. We cam argue all day about it but it's obvious and apparent the throughput compared isnt there. You mess up once on disc and theres actually zero recovery. Thats the catch. Other heals have tons of ways of reacting. Disc doesn't it's all proactive so you should be pumping tons of dmg compared to others. When other heals are doing more damage and more healing with less set up more mobility and more oh shit healing it just doesn't feel good. Disc will forever suffer due to mythic raiding and how it operates around burst healing, but in m+ with the changes on how its smaller pulls and needing more CONSISTENT healing disc suffers. Honestly they just need to make it so if your in a smaller group your atonements last x longer just like they are x more effective out of raid. This would probably fix alot of disc issues...well them not having a kick, cleanse, mobility...stun...yea who am i kidding itsa wreck for M+

@@damienwyles6515 I’ve been loving disc this season, hard to tell how it’ll go into mythic raid and high keys but so far it’s my favourite. Holy archon with halo is hilarious too and I love it. That said, mobility isn’t a huge issue but if you have to move in the middle of your ramp execution you definitely feel it; so much so it’s worth considering to just pop fade and another defensive and eat the mechanic and just heal through it. Disc priest damage so far is crazy high, which obviously comes into saying the healing is very high too. In AOE disc I’ve pulled consistently over 1 mil dps with trinket + pi + shadowfiend -> mindblast -> penance (2x stack of harsh disc). This is repeatable (without pi) less than every minute, to the point of sometimes being able to do it twice in one aoe pull. Compared to resto druid it’s great, this is the worst resto druid has felt in a long time. Can’t take photosynthesis and flourish at same time, and the talent tree is designed in such a way that you can’t even get complimenting capstone talents because of point deficit, unlike many other classes/specs. Source: multi-class healer since cataclysm (All but holy paladin)

I hopped on the PTR to take a look at the holy paladin changes. They reshuffled alot and removed alot of dead talents. But then they added in alot of new dead talents, mainly due to their position in the tree or choice nodes they share. Most are very niche and wont see general gameplay. The list seems more impressive at first, but when actually going down the class tree your build will still feel eerily similar to how it currently is. Auto sac cast at 35% while triggering its CD? Seems like an odd timing to cast sac for its DR. 2% holy power spenders competing with divine favor? Yea no thanks. More points to spend on our horse? Don't have em. Blessing of freedom on horse cast shares its nodes with ACTUAL freedom spell. Baking in all this passive healing into our utility is also fine, but depending on tuning they're still dead picks. Their tooltips seemed non-consequential amounts. You simply do not have the points to spend on some of these new undertuned/niche talents. Except now for the final rows you can go left side to get 3% healing on SoTR + 20% armor on WoG casts for example, or choose right side for judgement of light + the extra healing on holy light/ flash. Overall it does look more streamlined, with no awkward dead talents that you are forced into to get to good ones.

There's a small community that has been Fistweaving this whole time. It's been viable every single season and has been represented in Mythic raid every tier. I understand that the ranged/hybrid builds are easier to play, but Fistweaving has always been there as a playable option. It actually is already healing more than the hybrid build before these buffs, but I understand that the stigma around Fistweaving is that it's way more difficult and not worth it. It's been worth it the whole time if you can handle playing melee in general. Other healers have mentioned to me button bloat, but it has around the same number of key presses as a melee DPS, so it really depends on what you're used to playing. That being said, this is amazing news for us Fistweavers, but please don't discount the work we have been putting in all this time.

@@gansta432 I have had this same sentiment about it for a long time, but every time I bring it up on Reddit, I get told I'm not being mindful of the people who play the ranged style. I think it's completely fine to play if that's what you have fun, but it shouldn't be the meta. It doesn't do nearly as much healing, and the fistweaving rotation is a walk in the park.

I still dont like the MW changes at all. It was on its Peak for me in MoP or even better WoD. Because it was 2 specs into one and you could just pick the one you liked or you needed. Or wanted to play.... And then they god rid of Stances and ruined it all 😞 It was just great to either go a bit hybrid, when damage was low and then full caster when things hit the fan later in the fight or just be completly Fistweaver with big spending on the Chi Orbs that healed all melees for a ton.

All I want is better mobility for priest ☠️ I’ll take a choice node at this rate to replace MD or PI to give me a leap or a have an angel grab me and glide me in a direction 😩😩😩 or bake divine star as a mobility option where you become the star and dash forward pressing it again to explode into healing or dmg if shadow.

Are ranged mistweaver back?! Always wanted CJL to do damage so ranged mistveawer had the means to do damage. Also seems to better synergize with Master of Harmony, since it gives an additional charge of the Tea.

It does exist. There's plenty of talents on the tree that make it playable. Just because it's not what's exactly meta doesn't mean you're not allowed to play it. If the state it's in doesn't suit your fancy, then guess what, holy priest and resto shaman exist.

@@jessoteric I'd like resto shaman to be melee. Unfortunately, it's a ranged spec. Because of this, I will make the choice of playing a different class that better represents the playstyle I prefer rather than complaining ad nauseam about the 2 classes that blizzard has decided to design as melee healers. - Imagine how people that actually enjoy melee paladin feel about half of their capstones being bricked because of the few people that cling to the ranged playstyle from a decade ago. Also ranged hpal probably can do alright damage if you're using your judgement on cd with the talent that causes it to use consecration and use your summer windows properly.

I don't think the Ancient Teachings change affects the healing transferred. It was a 170% buff on Jadefire cast before, now just shifting 30% to be bassline so don't have to take jadefire to benefit but still same benefit for a build consistently casting Jadefire as now 140% buff. 25% buff to blackout kick is probs to compensate for loss of increased rising sun kick reset from Ancient concordance being binned too

The mistweaver changes are a drop of water in the ocean. If anything they make caster playstyle more viable but that's about it. We basically gain an extra capstone point in dungeon content to pick the spin to win newly buffed talent but otherwise i don't think any build will really change. I don't get the interest of the new talents they mostly add damage to caster monk but the damage is accessed by sacrificing healing instead so it's weird.

For monk I am so friggin sick of everything being about fistweaving. WHAT ABOUT ACTUAL CASTER MISTWEAVER? They are literally ignoring and neglecting over half the dam spec and talents! I'm about to swap outta monk. This is ridiculous. This has been the 3rd straight change to how fistweaving works and nothing for anything else about the spec.

You fucking dingus, fistweaving is more healing for less effort. Why would you want to cast stuff when you can not target any allies, sit in jade fire stomp, and just do damage? This heals your entire party through most boss mechanics, its amazing. Again, you do not target any allies. Just do damage while sitting in jadefire stomp

where are resto druids?! We literally haven't changed in over a decade, I don't count grove guardians, it's just a fire and forget minor buff, press a button to make your current heals heal a little bit more. Hero talents are trash and boring, bring nothing.

@@b1ggi worst dispel school, no actual choice nodes, still need to get holy nova, no real utility for mythic+ besides mass dispel, no cc besides psych scream, and as a disc a lot of 2 pointers, no real choice as well no builds variation, and ultimate penance still garbage and makes u die often due no immunity while casting. All this from the top of my head.

Delete all dmg spell for healer only Disc can Use Dmg spells . And then let the Incoming Dmg get High that the Healer must heal every sec . Then have we a good gameplay back to the roots
