If they were just listening to audio, they might laugh more... but between the visual and the flow of his speech, it creates conflicting social cues. Dude, is acting like he's reading his homework naked in front of his class. Honestly, that would probably help him.. you can see he's too busy trying to read the audience and overthinking his material. So, it's like bro needs to smoke a light bowl or j/o right before he goes on.. have the look of shame in his eyes worrying if the those in the front row can smell his sins. Or workshop with other comedians, roasting battles and topical games are good ways to go.. it helps one master their material and develop that stage persona that needs to transition from joke to joke to joke. improv can help too, especially for storytellers... especially those dreaming of their own sitcom or d grade movie. Also, shouldn't have started with Biggie... the wedding love song story was lame, it was poorly executed all the way around.
