I'm very touched to know that Cobra feels the love from those who joined him on his healing journey. Also, I'm very thankful for his message about yang energy. The message is very timely for me. Thank you Cobra! Much love and respect to Big Momma and the herd. I'm thankful for their very wise advice.

Thank you, Jini, for posting these films on youtube, and please thank Cobra and the other horses for their generous sharing of the experiences and their wisdom. I have been so affected by the three films of Cobra's healing and revealing of his true self, seeing the possibility for me in healing my anger and pain from my childhood and life. Most importantly that I can continue to be angry at times, although I prefer to be able to channel that into a straight, strong expression of the real me which has been hiding behind a nice, kind, acceptable personality. All the films you post show such innate wisdom in the magnificent animals. that our species has exploited for ever. But their wisdom can only find its way to us because your, and the other's, open minded work with them So thank you for putting yourself, your real self, 'out there' for the rest of us to learn from. Such peace is found with all the horses. Difficult to have a favourite, but I LOVE Audeline, her strength, her motherly love and keen understanding of each person/horse/situation. Thank you again.

Hi Jinii! What a great reminder of accepting where our horses, people, etc. are and not judging why they aren't where we want them to be. I seem to forget that, more often than I would like to admit (but am here 😊). Such profound perspective on Yang. Love that! All the insights here are so deep and real. Another wonderful video and very interesting (and reasonable) points made on Cobras behaviour. After listening to the video I watched it again, this time with the volume on mute, and just watched Cobra and his responses and interactions - he really is physically expressive (and very handsome). Though I don't get a lot of dialogue from him - more short and to the point, I wondered how others hear him - his voice and how he speaks to you. I did get the impression that if you're not listening - he ain't talking 😁 Thank-you Cobra and the herd 🐴🐎

I think when you said Yang that’s exactly when Makah’s attention came to you. He said: Hey I’m Yang too in the new herd. That’s why he moved to the feeder. Cobra’s reaction was funny he went: Dude I said that first. Makah: yeah, ok but I’m just reinforcing the point. So it’s like the Boys club, the yang club speaking up. Haha

Well it's certainly allowed him to express himself more. Same thing with all the wildies. And interestingly, that for most experiences, Aude will put herself in the hay arena - so that removes the most dominant horse and they don't have to keep an eye out for her. this video message is more profound - spirited lead, than you think, noted all comments below seem to be from ladies, stop- here me out, the previous video and this, could easy be re done with a gay male, as the victim in camera shot, - with the punch at the end- He was who - a KING, who was castrated, He would be pissed off, and although childless, still of royal worth and linage, I myself, was one of 9 children, first 3 wanted, the next 6- my mother said-he want leave me if I am pregnant, and thus 6 raised as castrated maids, 4 boys 2 girls, none raised to be proud kings (men) or queens( ladies), these 2 videos sum up my f'ing adult life as a self made gay male, who moved away from the castraters, to find my own created worth, ( all the while spirit wise,, being told I was a king- WTF), and I can see now through these videos, I was a castrated KING, Bless you all, and the King Cobra and horses. ( no one referenced he was a King in below comments ?) the holy spirit says we are Kings and priests unto GOD, some get castrated spiritually and emotionally)..... thank you for this new way to speak to horses, God's favourite creation

You are projecting all your stuff onto this horse. He needs kindness and patience, yes, but also a strong leader--as all horses do. Every time you allow him to move your feet, it tells him *he* is the leader. This horse needs a lot of ground work from a very seasoned horse trainer. Anything else is just asking for trouble. I'm totally into tapping, but this is crazy. It might help *you* clear some stuff, but it's not helping him. Please get appropriate help for this horse, before someone gets hurt.

@@ListenToYourHorse I have checked this out. I sincerely wanted to hear your thinking on the situation. KZbin comments can be so brutal.. I really respect what you are trying to achieve here with/for these horses. And this living situation *is* different, as you are not trying to ride this horse. You are trying to give him care and a sovereign, dignified life--that is clear. I agree that humans have subjugated other species for so long that some think that's the only answer. I agree that dominance over other creatures just for the sake of it is a human sickness--and one that's obviously destroying the nature world. I still sincerely want to ask you why this creature gets to dominate, scare and control you? It's enough of a problem that you needed to tap and do a video on it. Yes, Cobra was traumatized by humans, but just like in any relationship, we still get to assert our own boundaries and keep ourselves safe. The thing is, every time he moves your feet, you are reinforcing this behavior--and my main point is IT WILL NOT HEAL HIM. It makes him a danger to others and himself, because if he really hurts a person down the line, he may get put down. You appear to be willing to bob and weave around his aggression behavior, but will others? Can you guarantee that he and any humans caring for him will be safe? Are you sure that you are not making decisions about this creature based on your own abusive history, and/or guilt about what other humans have done to him? Humans and horse's have different community rules and structures that have evolved over millennia. I'm a human who wants to be equal to all creatures-period. But both horses and dogs, especially when aggressive, need to know who's in charge. This has been hard for me, as I'm a pretty passive person. I did not want to believe for a time that I had to take the scary and uncomfortable leadership position sometimes. But that's what ended up creating the harmony I so badly wanted. Not to anthropomorphize, but a good analogy might be working with kids. They will push boundaries to see who's in charge--if they are in charge, that's actually pretty scary to them. I know from experience as a parent that they DO NOT really want to be in charge. Setting loving and firm boundaries allows them to relax and feel safe. This horse is constantly pushing.. It's a lot of work for him, and it can't be making his life any easier.. Might it be a relief to him on some level to know that your boundaries are firm and he needs to have some respect for your space? This does him absolutely no harm, and may give him more freedom to use his energy in a healthier way. People's hearts will also be more open to him if he's not so scary--including yours. You also count in this situation, and deserve to not be attacked by the creatures you so obviously love and care about. Being codependent with our animals is not good for them *or* us. I wish much good luck with this paradise you are building here. The videos of the herd running around and through all the tress and bushes is pure magic. Thank you.

Maybe, we all can show some respect for the wide field of possibility to learn, connect, love and show compassion that they are opening for us, the work they are doing, the beautiful hours (notice how discovering and actually seeing each other takes time and mental presence) they are spending with the horses. Maybe we can show some respect towards the horses themselves, how subtle and complex their herd communication and lineage is (you can see that in the other videos). They are opening up and exploring a field of deep knowledge for us, showing how much there is that we don't know, that we don't see because we think we know it all already. Stay curious! It's not meant to be precise, that's what communication is - it's feeling each other out, it's being aware of body language and energy, it's misinterpreting, it's getting to know each other.

@@crepuscula5734 i agree, yes animals do have many things to say,but being locked up even in a lovely palace is still not freedom,it is still the will of one species forcing another species to live endure and exist in what they force the species to endure, whether that is, sharing a small field with other same species that do not get along, or sharing the same feeding box with same species that would never stay near or feel comfortable in that foreign container for human entertainment and folly.

@@tamarakennedy4976 oh yeah, totally. I guess in this world though, we always have to ask what is the alternative? is it not the best way there is, in a world that is territorialized and roamed by people who don't have the animals best interest at heart? One of the comments on the blog addresses your comment beautifully: "It seems to me that we take horses out of the wild (because they are starving because of us or just because we want their homeland), fence them in, physically do things like geld them because we feel it has to be done, and then ‘train’ them. Most of the time this training cuts away parts of them; they are forced to shut down or shut away who they really are. I think your assessment that Cobra shut away parts of himself to fit into his new space is spot on. And we think, “Wow, how well behaved that horse has become!” Sure, we provide shelter and food so then what? Do we really have rights over them as a result of our domesticating them? but what happens if we decide to really listen. What happens if we really notice their facial expressions, or their nose push or a quarter inch raise in their neck and we back off? I believe they notice when we noticed. Give and take, take and receive, receive and let go. For me it means to become aware. Awareness brings surprises because what I thought I knew, I didn’t know. It brings in humility and requires an opening of the heart space. Then, I can deny that awareness or I can fall into acceptance. And I mean fall into an unknowable place; leaping off the old cliff and, surprise! finding out I had wings. Holy Smokes! But, that isn’t even enough….then I must take action if I want the old to fall away and I want to allow the new to be the truth for now, this moment. And that is what I think happened here. I’m so glad that Cobra is finding the freedom to re-attach to some of the parts that were shut off because of what humans have done. It is so much broader and bigger than his personal trauma, though. His response to our listening is one example of a much bigger picture. I believe that true, open listening to horses (or dogs, or cats, or trees and plants or each other) is just the beginning of re-attaching ourselves to Wisdom. By doing so, we find we are indeed attached to all." Also, please know that except for Zorra - all of these horses are slaughter rescues. So there was no 'better option' for them. It was my place, or locked up in a small pen at the horse rescue, or dead. Perhaps they would have preferred death, or perhaps they are content.
