In this episode, Russell Mancer shares his journey from a troubled childhood in Mount Druitt to spending 23 years in prison. He discusses the impact of trauma and abuse on his life and how he found the strength to turn his life around. Russell emphasizes the importance of gratitude and freedom, having experienced the loss of both during his time in prison. He also delves into the role models he had growing up and how they influenced his path towards a life of crime. The conversation explores the effects of shame and guilt, the power of vulnerability, and the process of self-love and healing. Russell's ultimate goal is to create awareness for survivors of abuse and to shut down pedophiles, advocating for justice and support for those who have suffered.

This must have been one of the last interviews he did. No matter how he passed, no matter if he was back on the shit like people have said. He was a redeemed man, sitting next to his god. A modern day prodigal son.

By you saying sorry, you are acknowledging that you messed up and hurt that person. It gives healing to them because you are saying I hurt you and I regret that. I disagree that apologies mean nothing. Not repeating the offense isn’t an apology. That’s just being a decent person.
