"Is it the mistake or the lack of acknowledgement..." after that comment there was so much Grace and Space given. This platform is extremely needed and should be amplified. Dr. Vanzant has a proven track record or embracing not only the black community but specifically black men and women who need and deserve the peace that comes from counseling.

Nick, Brother you may not be hearing our sister. You have to heal yourself before you can speak about healing your brothers. I would suggest that you do a private healing with Sister Iyanla and then once you are more healed yourself, you will then be able to walk in your power to heal your brothers. When we stop being a part of this Matrix System and can walk in our power without hindrance, then and only then will we be able to be our True selves and serve our Divine purpose. Everything said, thank you my brother for your platform and thank you for bringing our sister to your audience. Love you my brother...

It’s definitely a little frustrating to listen to NIck Cannon because he tends to avoid discussing his own stuff in detail. He wants to be the voice for other people. You can’t carry other people’s problems if you don’t acknowledge your own. It’s like someone with a distorted view of themselves & others around them. In my opinion some of these celebrities are realizing people are going to hold them accountable.

@ericadinerotv5 ай бұрын
He doesn’t have to show respect, because men like him are coddled, hugged, praised by the community. They don’t receive any type of consequence, but **all the women** who comes in contact with with them… get the blame for the man’s behavior. She doesn’t have enough respect as an elder for him to straighten up and to look at her in the face because he’s the one that she will actually hug on a grand stage after he’s abused a woman, like she did Jonathan Majors.

Hurt in the last or present. More perspective for you

@@sunnyz4624 I’m not speaking of loving someone simply to love. I’m speaking upon the fact that we can love someone and let that love blind us to the fact that that person needs to do the work. This conversation raised some interesting points about human behavior, trauma, and spiritual influence. Iyanla Vanzant's perspective that individuals like DMX, R. Kelly, and Bill Cosby weren’t dealing with demons but rather unhealed wounds and personal trauma is insightful, and it certainly acknowledges the deep emotional and psychological roots of their struggles. However, from a Biblical standpoint, the idea of spiritual possession is real. The Bible describes instances where people are possessed by evil spirits and how those spirits can lead to harmful, destructive behavior (Mark 5:1-20, Luke 8:27-39). That said, the Bible also teaches that not every harmful action comes from demonic possession. Sometimes, as in James 1:14-15, people are led astray by their own desires and weaknesses, which can cause them to sin without external spiritual forces at play. Iyanla's approach of focusing on healing and addressing the trauma behind these behaviors is powerful, but it’s also important to acknowledge the Biblical view of spiritual warfare. At the end of the day, we are all responsible for our actions, whether influenced by trauma, sin, or spiritual forces. True healing comes from addressing both the emotional wounds and the spiritual battles we face.

I love how Nick can verbally say these guys are good guys & stand next to them. I'll say this.. with that same volume & voice hold them accountable of the things they do. Allow them the space, time & opportunity to grow. Give them the love you do have from a distance as you too need to grow. You can't say, in the same breath, that they are so great that they aren't allowed grace. If some of these same guys were in relationships with your daughters would you keep that same energy? I'm not here to cancel or ridicule them for the things that they've done, but like the doc said some of them deny it with video footage. We set boundaries for protection. You can't keep surrounding yourself with people that do negative things & it not make you feel a way. That means your sense of compassion isn't impartial. You'll always see these people, these guys, for how that are with you and not how they are at heart or to everyone outside of you. Be Bless. Continue to grow. ❤❤

Nick can be very exhausting. Most time he wants to hear what he wants to hear. He has a pattern of seeking validation for his actions and the actions of others, to make himself feel better about his shortcomings. I see the broken child that has manifested into a wounded man. He’s become accustomed to protecting the little boy in him so much that it won’t allow him to fully take accountability. Once he realizes he doesn’t have to protect that little boy, true healing can begin and he’ll be the man he truly wants to be. Strip the ego and Drop the mask. That’s how you become your highest self not an “image”’of that

@snap23993 ай бұрын
I understand your frustration, and I don’t think anyone is excusing bad behavior or defending the harm caused by these public figures. The point Iyanla and Nick seem to be making isn’t about justifying actions, but about accountability and healing. The conversation dives into the importance of holding individuals responsible for their actions while also recognizing the trauma and brokenness that might contribute to those behaviors. From a spiritual perspective, the Bible teaches that we are all capable of sin, whether it stems from our own desires or external influences (James 1:14-15). Healing the community means not only addressing the harm done but also creating spaces where people can take responsibility and grow from their mistakes. It's not about excusing anyone but about working towards real change. We need both accountability and opportunities for redemption if we want to truly heal our communities.
