For anyone wondering. The Knight cant reflect damage that is not there. The Damage is instantly healed but the pain from that damage still registered. Usato basically K.Os you from the pain of a wound you no longer have.
@KaiserAfini7 ай бұрын
Kazuki and Suzune had knights instruct them in martial techniques and are geniuses at wielding their magic. Meanwhile Usato learned healing magic on the go and has no technique, fighting using only survival instinct. Which means Rose's training was so brutal that just the boost to his basic physical stats put him on equal footing to a famous demon knight. Just goes to show that Rose is the real final boss of the kingdom.

The dark knight’s mana armor automatically absorbs and repels all damage from all attacks back to the attacker; think of it like opposing polarities of positive vs. negative energy in a cursed magnetic field. But Usato’s healing magic energy is not damage by definition; so the armor can’t recognize it, absorb it, repel it. Combining Rose’s technique of wrapping healing magic around Usato’s overpowered punches, it melts the cursed armor through negation. Considering Usato strength is now superhuman from Rose’s brutal training, the direct force from his punches causes massive blunt force trauma directly to the body and organs. It’s such a brilliant concept that Suzune had to say THE THING.
@moteroargentino79447 ай бұрын
It's not automatic, it's voluntary. That's how she fooled both the first soldier that stabbed her, and later the heroes, by creating fake openings. That's also why when she fell unconscious the armor disappeared, because it's made of mana and like any spell it requires constant casting and concentration. It can be done subconsciously (like when Usato healed himself involuntarily during his training), but that's only while they're conscious. And the reason why the attacks couldn't reflected is because since it requires a voluntary command from the knight, there's a very small delay between the damage and it's reflection. Since Usato heals it instantly, by the time she tried to reflect the damage there was nothing to reflect.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the just how fluid and natural, yet still well-defined the magic system we see in this series is? It's kind of like Avatar the Last Airbender, where there's no seemingly defined "spells" (Maybe some repeated techniques), but the usage of magic seems so naturally applied. As long as the caster can use the image of their element in a given way, that's how it will work, such as Kazuki tendency to form orbs of light, and shoot them, while Inukane is able to send lightning as both a precision or AoE attack, but can also use it as a buff to her movement speed.

Healing magic can be dangerous in any fantasy setting but is often overlooked simply BECAUSE it's healing magic. For example, in some fantasies, it is actually the single most devastating magic against the undead and some spirit types. Or if a being is empowered by a curse and the healer uses a spell to remove curses? The biggest weakness of healing magic in combat is the lack of imagination of its users.

I still don't get the logic behind healing magic causing the armor to melt and not even cause any damage to be healed despite piercing clean through.
@nomus11727 ай бұрын
How the armor works is that it reflects any wounds Because he's coating himself with healing magic there's no wounds to reflect so in this instance its rendered useless
@0DeathTheKid157 ай бұрын
You can see the armor like someone who looks at the Knight HP bar. Knight would take a certain amount of damage->Damage is "calculated"-> Damage is negated-> Damage is reflectes. By using his physical power he punches right through the armor. But he instantly heals the damage he would deal with his punch. The Armor has now literally no damage to reflect back to him. All that remains is the pain from the punch he just healed. He basicaly K.Os you from the pain of a wound you no longer have.
@Bladster947 ай бұрын
No I mean I get how it counters the reflection effect, I agree with you two, but my guy still got stabbed through the hand with a pretty sizeable stake. It physically went through, not around nor was it a ghost, yet didn't make a hole. And it became liquid and flopped on the floor!
@____Carnage____7 ай бұрын
The knight reflects damage that’s done to them. But Usato is essentially healing the both of them at the same time but not necessarily nullifying the pain. So whenever he punches her he’s causing her pain but not damaging her in any way. Basically to counter her reflection he heals the wounds but not the pain they cause. In turn he doesn’t get hurt himself but can still dish out attacks
@Compucles7 ай бұрын
@@____Carnage____That still doesn't explain why the *armor* melts and later gets destroyed directly from his healing magic. No damage to either side means that the armor shouldn't be taking any damage, either. As for his hand, we can assume he simply healed it while it was still impaled, thus pushing the armor material to either side. It still doesn't explain why that caused it to melt, though.

it was nice and all but what i don't get it is, if his punches heal the target as soon as he hits, how can the target feel pain? he instantly heals it right?
@Casualgaming7637 ай бұрын
Pain is a signal that the nerves send to the brain to let you know something is wrong. This signal travels from the nerve to the brain and back. If you are healed as you get hurt that pain signal is still send to the brain. Actually since you are healed as soon as you get hurt the brain probably won't be able to comprehend what happened so you'll still feel the pain. That's what I think happened to the demon.
@Casualgaming7637 ай бұрын
Even though his punch is not dealing any damage her body will still feel the pain and damage it caused.
@____Carnage____7 ай бұрын
Pain doesn’t necessarily go away the moment you’re healed. In fact it tends to be the opposite if you’re in a serious accident. I remember reading that people who break their femurs usually do so in a bad accident like a car crash. So their adrenaline is pumping and nullifying the pain. But when they get to the hospital and undergo treatment that adrenaline wears off and they feel excruciating pain even when they’re patched up. They have to be given pain killers but even then it’s still extremely painful. There’s not really much to do other than waiting it out Now apply that here. Imagine feeling the pain of getting punched really hard but then it’s healed immediately. The wound may be healed but pain tends to last longer
@Compucles7 ай бұрын
Simba: Ow! Why'd you do that?! Rafiki: It doesn't matter! I just healed you. Simba: Yeah, but it still hurts.
@zolozoro587 ай бұрын
@@____Carnage____ is it tho? during usato's training rose kicks him to oblivion, he holds his but in pain, unknowingly activates healing magic and says "wow, it doesn't hurt anymore!" so obviously his magic heals the pain as well. so it is hard to apply that here. if he heals the target instantly that there is no damage left after punch, considering the magic's properties she must feel like she was hit with a fluffy brush. no matter how deep i think i can't think that it afflicts pain.
@dspace45147 ай бұрын
So anyone care to explain what is going on?
@HaxeRain7 ай бұрын
Basically, the Dark Knight magic reflects what would be wounds on the user, so if you stab her shoulder, she can reflect the damage and be like you stabbing yourself, meanwhile, Usato in the other hand, coats himself and his attack on healing magic, the effect of this causes both of their magics canceling each other out, basically, Usato with his attacks causes no wounds or injuries, even healing you, but you still feel the pain of the impact, kinda super brutal if you think it through, given how the brain still perceives teh damage even if physically there is none
