I have been breathing in and absorbing everything I hear you share. How you describe all of this is incredible and life altering for the best. Thank you beyond words. I hope you make/share more revelations. I really appreciate what you do/have done. On a micro level, when I hear you I get an injection of hope. I received your presentations whem I am at a very low point.. Thanks for the boost.. Sincerely, Jack

Dear Tori, listening to your words is so soothing and compassionate. It makes it much easier for me to get in touch with the deeply rooted pain. Only by listening to you there is a resonance I hardly felt before. I heard a lot of spiritual teachers. They all gave me glimpses of what we really are and capable of. But somehow it always has been very abstract when it came to put it in a daily living. You have an immense gift. You do both - giving me a very detailed view on the complexity of the human being and the truth of who we really are. It shines through you. That is simply amazing. Thank you so much.

Wow.. what a series. Your unique and enlightened approach completely normalises complex mind challenges. In doing so it removes the fear from what can at times feel frightening and perhaps destabilising territory to explore. Game changer 😉👍 and YES.. I am the thing that is deeper than my pain🙏 I think I had lost sight of that!

This is profound... the perfect antidote to the struggles that can so easily consume me... the essence of what is happening with IFS. You are a blessing young woman. As an octogenarian I didn't expect to learn much from such a young whippersnapper... but I've learned things that vital to my healing as a survivor of complex trauma. Thanks you. I'll likely return to this video many times.

Great stuff.. I was listening to some of your stuff on AEDP today while I was on my walk.. I like how you ended this video with meditation.. I have been thinking about how similar dissociating and meditating are.. With both my body is relaxed.. I can see how that dissociating part helped me.. And continues to help me..

I’ve been sending these to my lying cheating husband with so many exiles and layers and layers of protectors protecting protectors and also my therapist… thank you for these. So ❤Helpful to me… I am bigger than my pain. I am. I am not my pain. I can see it. I can free it from where it lives in me, let it stand up and move

Dr Tori you seemed vulnerable here. It does feel once we begin to open up to inner children.

Thank you Tori for your videos, i love them ❤️ Today i was driving my car und i had such a feeling being alone, sad, i missed a hug. I was asking me, what would you like to say me little Monika, what do you miss? and she sad, she needed a hug from her father, she never had a one, he was aggressiv, rather hittig and punching that little kid. I was asking her, where are you now, she sad, shes crying in her bed. I wanted to hug her, und tell her, not to be sad, but I had tears in my eyes. I had to go away from that Situation (i was stil driving the car). Now I am at home, alone, i have no stress and i'm trying to wake up that feeling once again, i want to go deeper, but i can't find that feeling anymore. How can i manage to do that? 🙏 Ive tried it with Pictures in my head and Feelings, but with no succes. Thank you 🙌

That last comment was said, because I often feel ostracized because of my beliefs, which is terrible when you're looking for help.

10:59 “if we can just hold the pain…” How? If we can bring the resources together… How? Dr. Olds you speak movingly of the potential for healing with the therapies that you explain, but for me, you don’t provide anywhere near enough information about How. Doing my best to follow your IFS videos and the instructions of my own therapist, I am now drowning in an exile. No healing has occurred. My daily life has worsened. No previously unknown resources, abilities, skills or tolerances have suddenly appeared to make the exile’s pain manageable. I know people have left comments saying that parts work has changed their life for the better, but I’m not one of them yet.

I'm sorry, I know this doesn't really have to do with the Inner Child but...I've noticed that the IFS model is similar to Jungian psychology, in that there's a lot of overlap. I was wondering how I can seamlessly meld the two philosophies together. So can you break down its similarities and differences for me?

Your speaking and compassionate wisdom and professional experience is so inspiring. Thank you. I wonder if it would be of value to you to enquire as to why you use the word "like" so often. I noticed it because I found it distracting. Sort of fashionable rather than timeless like your wisdom.

Hi Tori. Please address my question if you have time. I am hoping IFS can help me feel happy in my life. However I recently purchased Dick Schwartz audiobook "no bad parts", I was enjoying listening to the book up untiI chapter 4. I am a traditional conservative man. Chapter 4 was full out left wing tirade. Numerous statements on anti-American we're a racist country blah blah blah. My question is why do therapists all lean left wing, furthermore why are politics infused into a healing modality at all? I voted for Trump, so what, so did 70 million other Americans. Are we all bad people? I don't like everything Trump does or says, but I can say that about any politician. I am just wondering if there is a place for someone that loves my country, supports the police, and trys his best to go to church every Sunday?

I hope politics doesn't become a barrier to you doing this beautiful healing work. Definitely take what resonates from the book and leave the rest. There's definitely space for you and all human beings to heal. Left or right leaning, we all have a Self and wounds that access to our Self will help to heal. It's a beautiful journey you deserve. ❤
