I feel his sadness about the topic at 33:25… but he is so well spoken, I understand everything he says and I love to listen to him. His lectures are never out of time. I really appreciate the beauty of unity, respect and understanding from both speakers and the attendees. I especially loved when Shiek Hamza brought up the importance of awareness on the harms of pornography and the crimes being committed against men, women and children who are victims of Human Trafficking. I completely believe that the youth are targeted to become addicted to pornography in order to become lifelong consumers of this sick and destructive industry. Many women, including myself and men in my community are in a movement which I like to call "Consciousness Revolution" dedicated to educating members of our community on this issue and assisting organizations who provide shelter and rehabilitation programs for survivors of Human Trafficking.

I lived his talk. Sobering, troubling but so on point. In my Christian tradition St. Paul says that all creation is groaning ( as a woman giving biirh) waiting for the revealing of the sons/daughters of God. This means that when we wake up to who we are, our true selves, made in the image of God and when we shed our false self/ego, then creation will rejoice. All God's creation is waiting for us folks. All of it! So much of what was shared is exactly that.

I have always wondered why did not Islam have a visual culture, because I studied art myself, and I know how powerful images can be. It used to make wonder why did not Islam teach drawings and paintings, and at the end of the lecture I just knew that pictures are too powerful that they can stuck in the mind, and being occupied in learning how to produce imagery will eventually lead to us worshiping what we are making without even realizing it. The thing is in Islam there is not one clear Hukum about images and drawings, because they are tools in which we can either use to benefit ourselves or get lost and merge our souls without having the space he talked about. Still having a hukum would not have been practical for all times, because even now we have to know how to do designs, images such as to promote for such lectures. Thank you for the great insight.
