Eish, this thing of comparisons messes with one's confidence and self- esteem. It's now when I'm realising that I'm fine the way I am. At 31, I have gained my self-confidence, self-love and self-esteem

I love that my mother refused us from getting perm, she said no im the islamd ,l learn how to braid and love my natural puff. But black american when perm camd in it was for grown women alone its only when just for me came in o stsrted seeing youbg children getting perms. However in the caribbean it was sewn as a mother who I s lazy put perm in they children hair. Then i movd to america in the 2000 and it was horrible how some black women and men. Was saying black women cannot grow they hair. My sister perm her hair and it was below her shoulders and black women taught she was lying and have tracks or weave. This us ridiculous and its silly how black men was back in 2000 was making jokes about black women hair and color. Now i have sicklecell and the medicines drip my hair.
