Health Minister Mark Holland discusses dental-care expansion - June 27, 2024

Health Minister Mark Holland holds a news conference in Winnipeg to mark the latest expansion of the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Children under the age of 18 and individuals with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate are now eligible to apply for dental coverage under the federal government's plan for uninsured Canadians.
Holland is joined by Dan Vandal (minister of northern affairs and MP for Saint Boniface-Saint Vital), Terry Duguid (MP for Winnipeg South), and Pam Sveinson (executive director of Manitoba’s Integrated Youth Services initiative).
The ministers also face questions about their party's recent byelection loss in the longtime Liberal stronghold of Toronto-St. Paul's.
