A million questions!!! How do you know what to test for? How expensive are the tests? How long does detox take before you feel better? How are you going to feel during detox? Is detoxing going to release the beast sort of thing and cause more or worse issues? This doc is going to be overwhelmed soon! Is there a list of reputable doctors that understand and do this? Thank you & Carolyn & Josh for bringing this to the for front!!! It explains A LOT!!!

I'm 72 and female. I have been Keto and Carnivore (2 months) since 2018. I did lose weight and did a lot of healing in that time. The last year I have seen changes. I not only stopped losing weight but started gaining. Intermitent fasting, omad or the amount of exercise I do is not stopping this weight gain. My exercise is to mow a 2.5 acre rough field for about 2 hrs a day with a walk behind mower. I know, why not just do exercise? Because I get great joy out of receiving something tangible from my work. The mowing is so hard but I get a nice area for my dog to be off leash and use her nose and dig and be a dog.And I build muscle. And no, I am not building heavier muscle that fast. I live in a forest and it takes a lot to keep it back out of my space. The more weight I gain the harder it is to mow or do anything. I am heading for the 30 lb gain mark. I don't have arthritis or high blood pressure. My blood panel numbers are great and my arteries are clear. I must be topping off my toxic tanks. You have given me the only explanation for this nonsense. I thank you and I look forward to the podcast with your doctor.

You may have success taking essiac tea. I have seen massive health improvements, and I'm still taking it, hoping to correct hormonal issues. Genuine Essiac makes an 8-herb blend you brew up once every 2 weeks and then take three times a day. It's a commitment, but I have seen the best health improvements of anything I've ever taken. It has even helped ease carpal tunnel that would wake me up in the early morning hours with searing pain. I wish you the best of health! It's really a lifelong work in progress. 😅

long term keto and carne DO tend to work short term but weight gain is common later on. Whole grains, fruits and veggies are what we are designed to run on--you need the fiber amongst other nutrients. remember that unless you are eating solely grass fed, grass finished organic animals you are eating a ton of toxins from the meat since their feed is gmo and has high levels of pesticides and other hormones designed to fatten them up for slaughter--which means they will fatten you up too

Hard to do all these things when you're low income and not able to make more due to severe disabilities and chronic illnesses. I do the best I can but can only do so much with the little I have. One thing I will say to anyone else like me is to do the best you can for the budget you have and even if a small amount it's all worth it to do your best. I may not be able to afford to go to a naturopathic Dr or get any of this testing but I can do the best I can with the things I store my food in and the foods I get. Look into the Health Benefits of Activated Charcoal capsules which you can purchase at local drug store. Years ago they warned that Pottery painted with green paint imported dishware was Toxic. B12 Deficiency is caused by Black Mold. You need B12 with Mold toxicitity. We live in a very humid climate near Lake Erie so we are running 2 Dehumidifiers in our house during the Summer or rainy season. One is located in our basement and the other is upstairs. I am tossing like 12 gallons of water from my home daily. That said, if your home has Duct A/C or Heating may require professional cleaning every couple of years. Ducts can attract black mold and well everything. Thank you for sharing.

Start by using glass for storing food. You can recycle jars from food. This includes the seasoning jars. Use stainless steel for cooking and baking. For baking you can also use stone. Shop at the farmers market and you can avoid the plastic the stores carry their fruits and vegetables in. You can buy cotton bags to store in or make them yourself. I have found creative ways of using old cotton for this. Pasta, rice, grains, seeds etc are sold in plastic for less weight during shipping. Just find ways of transferring it to glass. Go shopping at second hand stores, you will find great things to use for all of this. I started this a long time ago and store as much as possible this way. My biggest spending was at some point for big glass jars for flours etc. I found many at Grocery Outlet at a cheaper price too. I second the idea of eating more animal protein too, but look pasture raised animals or organic, wild caught fish etc. You want to avoid farm raised fish and standard factory farmed animals. You also want to avoid preservatives in lunch meats etc. Get a water filter for the shower. Water filter system for your main water usage of everything. Just be more aware of things and you will start your journey.

Good question. I have done several detox protocols and activated charcoal is great for acute stomach bugs or toxicity...but if used long term is can disrupt your mineral/electrolyte balance because is pulls it out of your system. Using Zeolite is much better for long term use I find because it is selective and only pulls out toxins.

Thank you Melissa. I was amazed at the things I heard from Josh and Carolyn’s video but also hearing you have done the test and finding yourself with similar result is alarming. I’m wondering if Dr. Tory might share what other issues one might face with a toxin overload. Things like Lymphedema, high blood pressure, diabetes, neuropathy, auto immune disease, arthritis etc. Can these be the result of our bodies reacting to the toxins as well? Long shot I know but it would seem that all of the above mentioned issues are common today and I know personally people in my life with one or more of these and they have drug related treatments with results that are little more than masking the symptoms and can be expensive. Thank you for bringing this topic out for further discussion. God Bless You.

Well this may explain my mystery 40 pound weight gain with NO change in diet or activity. I can’t tell you how bad I felt as both my GP and my cardiologist insinuated that something must have caused the gain and it was obviously my fault. After tracking the same diet I had eaten previously, I met with a dietitian. She was at a loss, as my diet is excellent. The ONLY suggestion she could make was that I need to eat more, in particular more protein. Cardiologist wants me to have weight loss surgery. GP is suggesting Ozempic. Neither of those address the issue of WHY did I gain the weight. Just confused and humiliated 😢

I would love to know if your dr has a way to detox us from the shedding that everyone is shedding from the recent arm poke. I can't be around anyone that has arm pokes. My life has completely changed in the last 3 years and I'm going through the hardest trial of my life not being able to be in public places... no church, no grocery shopping, no family gatherings, nothing. I've been to drs who claim they could help and I trust them, and I develop a whole new set of problems. I would love to do these tests just to see what my toxic load is. I won't go to "normal drs" any more as I feel the lies have been too much since 2020. Does this dr do appts through the internet? What would costs be?

From what I understand, the CDC has, in recent years, taken blood samples from a representative segment of the US population to establish baseline levels of chemicals in our systems. To my knowledge, no significant studies have been done to establish potential health outcomes of those levels. It seems to be subjective. One person could have a trace amount of BPA in their system and get very sick, while another could have sky-high levels and be perfectly fine.
@ElinWinblad
@ElinWinblad 25 күн бұрын
You take the number of people that get tested and then figure out the percentages of the ones tested. They don’t have anything wrong versus that have something wrong and then you can get a general number of the general population assuming you’re excluding or accounting for specific job traits or something that would expose somebody more than a general population.

Not surprising. As a Kentuckian I often listen to the Kentucky Afield podcast. I was completely blown away the first time they discussed the management of invasive honeysuckle in WMA’s. They flat out admitted to round up being sprayed from helicopters. The road department also openly admits to this. Problem is, they don’t care what they spray. My mother’s orchard and yard were sprayed, killing 30 year fruit bearing trees and causing erosion in her yard which in turn lead to the same honeysuckle plants they are trying to kill, taking root in areas they were not in before. Last year my tomato plants suffered from over spray from the road crews.

I can’t wait for the results of your detox in the next episode! And to hear what you’ve been doing. It’s hard to see the levels and I’m sorry they’re causing such complications for you and it makes me so worried for my children and others like us who live in the city and eat food from the grocery stores. I can’t imagine how off the charts our levels are. We definitely live in a different world than last generations. Or like Bobby Kennedy says “our kids are living in toxic soup”. One question, sorry if you have already discussed in previous videos, but have you looked into parasites and your parasite load and/or tried to detox them? I know often they can trigger issues too and sometimes release toxins from storage as they’re killed and cause extra burden on the person

The contrast dyes for CT and MRI scans are horrible for people. They are very hard on the kidneys and can cause both acute and long term injury. The dyes can cause Contrast Induced Nephropathy (CIN) where the kidneys have a sharp decrease in function of two to three days. This can lead to blood vessel and heart problems. Dyes can also cause Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF). This is literally a systemic effect on the body. If you ever have to get contrast dye, drink water like mad before and for a few days after to help your kidney clear it out of your body. Doing a toxin cleanse after is likely a good idea as well. I believe the modern medical system is designed to offer treatment for one issue that causes another issue so you become a repeat customer for life. This is coming from a Registered Nurse who has worked 20+ years in a hospital/medical setting.

The primary source of aflatoxin in the US is from peanut butter.
@gamingwithfrodo
@gamingwithfrodo 24 күн бұрын
Organic makes no difference; the aflatoxin comes as a by-product from the mold that develops on the peanuts. The highest levels were found in grind-it-at-the-store peanut butter; the lowest brands of the 20 or so tested were Smuckers, Jif and Skippy. These tests I saw were done 15ish years ago, so brand levels may have changed.

Sources for tin, cans like canned food growing up, but also one I avoid here is the metal salve tins. I looked up stainless steel ones and can only find them for food so I use glass jars instead for salves and what not. If worried about light you can order them in amber. Another source on the tin can be jewlery or anything that has been soldered…if you guys work with metal on the farm it’s found in the alloy. I strongly suspect it’s in all costume jewlery, and earrings especially the handmade kind are using a cheap metal for the part that goes in the ears. I read the blog and came to comment but haven’t seen the video yet but consider testing for your SNPs, that’s where we found the answers to why certain things are more problematic or we can’t detox them.

I went ketovore after seeing Jessica's results last year and dropped 20 lbs and felt amazing. Over the winter tho I went off it and at the beginning of this year got some milk kefir grains. Since I dont have access to raw milk, I bought organic grocery store pasteurized milk and drank about a quart of delicius kefir a day. Then I realized i had regained those lost 20 lbs and added another 5! Only recently have I learned about how absolutely toxic pasteurized dairy is. I'm also returning to ketovore and severely cutting dairy in an effort to excelerate toxic oxalate dumping. Unfortunately my suburban garden is probe to all of those toxins like glyphosate from the surrounding municipality.

One question I'd be curious for you to ask the doctor when you have her on your podcast, is whether or not it's possible that some of these toxins are in the soil itself, so therefore getting into the food we grow? Basically, is it possible that now matter how clean we live and eat, we will still have high levels of toxins because the earth itself is so polluted? And if so, is there anything we can do?
