Health Update/Taking a Hiatus

I've been debating whether to share this on social media, but I wanted to keep you all updated in case you've noticed my absence lately. ‌ Last Friday (3/29/24), I had to rush to the emergency room after leaving work early due to intense abdominal pain, nausea, and diarrhea. After running several tests and a CT scan, they confirmed I have ruptured ovarian cysts. I was given painkillers and discharged with little information other than to schedule a follow-up with an obgyn. It's been a bit of a shock, even though I've been aware of my PCOS. Right now, I'm focusing on recovery at home, and I'm grateful for the understanding of my boss and coworkers, who've encouraged me to take the time I need. I teach preschool aged children, 2-5 year olds, in case you’re wondering. ‌ Honestly, I'm scared. I worry about how this might impact my future fertility. I know I should trust in a higher power and believe that everything happens for a reason, but it's hard not to feel anxious. ‌ Your prayers and positive vibes would mean the world to me. Old film fascinates me, as I am currently involved in restoring old films from negatives and film sources. Thank you again for making sure Miss Wong's legacy continues on.

I usually hate the term "thoughts and prayers" because it's most often used these days disingenuously as a substitute for actual, tangible aid and comfort But in your case, since I am incapable of offering anything tangible, please accept my heartfelt thoughts and prayers.
