I use Royal Angkor International hospital. It is very good and know their limits. I had my gallbladder get infected. They sent me to Thailand for laparoscopic surgery. My living place is on Rd. 6.

May I ask how much you had to pay for surgery? I'm curious about prices in SE Asia.

Just found your channel. Thinking of retiring to Siem Reap. If I live in Cambodia, does Cambodia tax my social security benefits. if you cannot answer that, can you direct me to someone that would know? Thanks for your channel.

Cambodia doesn't tax your income from outside of Cambodia. So, whether you get SS or have remote work, Cambodia doesn't tax it.

Hi, do you know if Ozempic or other similar drugs are available in Siam Reap?
@cambodiyeah1 Жыл бұрын
For injectable meds, you'd likely have to go to one of the doctor's offices rather than a pharmacy.

Sounds like a good 'lemonade' plan for future health care young man. I'm 74 today & have the same "boat & paddle" my friend - & - had the same 'exact thoughts' for my circumstances as well concerning health care. ((have to make my SS work somewhere)) Bangkok is a fairly cheap 1 hour flight away from SR. -- Manila flight isn't overly expensive either at 3:25. -- My other consideration even '''a bit cheaper''' than SR - but - much cooler - is Lipa City & 1000 feet elevation an hour S of Manila Airport. ($2.50 bus ride) An expat there reports only using AC 2 months/year ! Off the tourist radar only an hour from the beach and relatively safe from natural disasters. Beautiful scenic area some expats English by most all locals and friendly much like Cambodia w/Catholic beliefs dominant but with Spanish architecture. - - - Maybe going there instead due to the heat. - ? - Not 100% sure yet. - - - There are many $50/mo. rooms and up around there. 24 hour McDonalds > Big Mac fry & coke is $3.50 & SAID TO BE EXACTLY THE SAME AS IN THE US !!! (just an example - it's $8.47 where I'm at now) - - - Another very worthy consideration is Tagaytay not too far from there at 2000 feet & many don't even have ac at all ! -- Simply stunning and gorgeous !!!!! - - - Take care.

Once I've settled in, I'm going to do some traveling and explore more of SE Asia. So far I've only been to Cambodia and Thailand, and I'd like to explore more of both and also see Laos, Malaysia, etc. The nice thing is that I won't be stuck anywhere and the only real hurdle besides funds is visa rules.

IS the last month rental fee returned if the last mo utilities are paid for and current

Usually if all the terms and conditions of the lease are met, and the rent is paid up, then the deposit should be returned to you.
